Room and bed comfortable. Good central location. Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Exceptionally clean.
Smart Tv is more the norm these days so I was slightly disappointed not to have that. I personally really dislike shower gels etc fixed so high up the wall that you can’t use in bath. Breakfast could be improved. Extra coffees not offered. I ordered the scrambled egg and smoked salmon on toast and it came as a large pile of each but without toast. Once served we were asked if we wanted toast so then had to wait. We got one round each.!

Very nice traditional building. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean, breakfast was lovely.
There was nothing I didn’t like, I also knew before arriving it had no parking but would have maybe liked some information about best place Les to park before arriving to make it easier.

Nice hotel with wonderful staff! Breakfast was very good, and we enjoyed hearing the bagpipes from Nextdoor!
Room #6 has a very bad mold (smell) problem in the bathroom that needs to be addressed. The towel bar is dripping water, which may be causing the problem. We could only breathe okay with the windows open and the bathroom door closed. Our clothes all smelled of mold when we got to Edinburgh, so we washed everything. My throat was sore from the smell and allergic response. Honestly? A wonderful place if this issue gets fixed.
