The accommodation was beautiful and built on the edge of the stunning lake. The cleaning staff was efficient and noticeably absent whilst we were at the unit. The property surrounding the accommodation is extensive and simply beautiful. The birdlife is excellent.

We stayed here for three nights whilst going up the Sani Pass. Silindile was extremely helpful with sorting out our stay. It was a very peaceful place to stay and the views of the lake and mountains from our lodge were lovely. Spacious comfortable lodge with good shower. We self-catered so cannot comment on the meals.
Bed was a bit firm but nothing else.

It was so picturesque and peaceful. The cabins were well insulated and had everything we needed. The host was extremely accommodating and friendly.
We couldn’t stay longer - haha!

It’s gorgeous, picturesque and quiet. We arrived in the late evening to a roaring log fire & table set for dinner
Options for activities too few especially for a family with young children

We stayed 3 nights at the bushman lodge with our two daughters, age 2 and 4. In the five weeks we’ve travelled the country, this accommodation was high in our top 3. It’s remote, but it’s spacious rooms and balcony with jacuzzi, the tranquillity of nature, the views, delicious food, etc, the whole family loved it. The photos do not do justice to the lodge, it’s more beautiful. Thanks Gareth!

Loved the location and the absolute peace and beauty of the place. Staff were very friendly and Gareth ensured we were well looked after. Very memorable stay.
The road to the lodge is difficult to navigate, thankfully we had good weather and visibility and I know it is being graded.

A gem of a find in the Underberg! The view from our room was incredible with attractions nearby. The drive to the property is on a dirt road and over a narrow dam wall, so be prepared for a bit of adventure if it is raining. The property is well kept and our unit was immaculate and serviced daily. We self-catered and the kitchen was well equipped for this (there is a catered option, and they send details once you have booked).

Self-catering establishment however we had the entire Club House to ourselves for Christmas.
Nothing really

Amazing views, very comfortable well appointed lodge, every aspect catered for. Excellent breakfast and Gareth was very helpful and welcoming.
Unfortunately the track from the main road is adversely affected during heavy rain - Gareth assured us that he was in the process of resurfacing the track and kindly drove our vehicle back to the main road for us. The track causes no problem in more clement weather.

Absolutely everything! The place was everything it promised to be and more; the pictures don’t do it justice.
The service from Slindile, Christopher and I think Siya from the horse ride was fantastic. I really enjoyed my stay and definitely coming back very soon.
Nothing. Oh the one thing I ddnt like is that I couldn’t stay for longer.

Beautiful lake and mountain views. We enjoyed walking around the facility. Proper farmhouse style.
The bed was so uncomfortable. Couch, cloth chairs and carpets were dirty.

Breakfast was taken in the boat house by the lake. the choice of food, hot and cold was good, with the hot food prepared fresh. I really loved the omelettes.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The lodge even organised a day tour up into Lesotho via the Sani Pass for us, and the company they chose was very good.
The grounds to the lodge were very extensive with zebra and red hartebeest roaming freely around- we even had a small herd of zebra outside our cabin one night, which I managed to capture on my trail camera. Bird life was excellent too.
A wonderful quiet location and so relaxing.

The chef prepared us a delicious dinner, every night!
Matrasses are rather hard

The scenery is absolutley amazing, really lovley location to relax in and take in nature. Absolutley wonderful rooms and staff as well. We really enjoyed it, and the special attention they gave us.
The road in definitley needs some work, it should not be attempted with a normal car, something with a bit of ground clearance is absolutley required.

Every staff member was welcoming and friendly. We would like to thank Garett for his wonderful hospitality and for showing us around. It was a beautiful, tranquil postcard setting. A weekend to treasure. Thank you all for making our stay a memorable one.

Food and Staff amazing, beds are a bit hard and the shower head needs replacing. Very peaceful surrounds, I recommend a visit for other travelers .
Towels are a bit old, replace shower head & possible put a pillow top on the bed and larger pillows.

Awesome veiws. Well looked after property. Friendly and helpfull staff. Although it was awesome i did have a few concerns that would make it perfect.
Need to keep a hand on maintenance. 2 lights not working in a small unit. Its the bush i know but Lots of cobwebs, especially under patio roof. Don’t kill the spiders but clean it regularly. Beds were not very comfy and Jacuzi is set on 1 temperature and not warm enough for the weather. If it was cheaper id have less to say but at that price a little more attention to detail would be nice.
