We had a wonderful view of the canal and the surrounding streets. It was endlessly fascinating just looking out and watching the activity both on the water and in the road.

The stairs up to the room were very steep (but we were clearly warned!), so had we been less fit even though of mature years this would have posed a problem.

Christian is so kind and friendly. We were in Amsterdam for only 2 days and his suggestions about food or the facilities made our holiday much more fun! The room is super clean and confortable, also the location is amazing. We highly recommend! Thank you Christian! ☺️

Excellent location! We came for a weekend during NYE. Chris welcomed us with chocolates and wine! The hotel was amazing, beautiful view to the canal, very clean and the room size was good. Chris was very kind and gave us champagne for NYE! I’ll definitely come back.

The property was exceptionally clean, very welcoming and cosy. The room has a gorgeous view of the canal, and is only a short walk from the centre and also a local supermarket if you need to purchase anything. Christian was very welcoming and gave us some good recommendations for places to eat. We had a lovely time. Thanks!

The room was in a good location, the owner of the house is very helpful, we had an evening flight on checkout day and were able to stay for free until the flight. Cheap, small, but warm and cozy room :)

Recommendation to the owner to install an extra or adjustable shower, because for a man, it does not cause a problem, but for a woman, it is impossible to take a shower without getting her hair wet :)

Very clean room, comfortable bed, perfect location, walking distance to many nice restaurants, super helpful host.

We thought that the room was excellent, in a beautiful and quiet location, and that Christian was the perfect host. We really appreciated his help and consideration, including his great restaurant recommendations. We would definitely like to return in the future.

There was nothing that we didn't like. Everything was lovely.

Location fantastic for city centre

Lovely hotel room with great outlook across a canal, lots of eateries nearby. Excellent host, friendly and offered good information.

It ticked all the boxes.

The room (Number 2) overlooked the beautiful canal (despite the bridge works currently in progress) and we loved watching the boats, the bridge going up & down and people watching. Christian our host was outstanding as he opened the door as soon as we arrived at 7pm ish, took our bags up 2 flights of stairs and was very knowledgeable as to local bars, supermarket etc. He helped with our bicycle security as we had cycled from the Southampton in the UK. He explained where the secure bike park was but we decided not to use it as not close by. We used the canal railing to padlock our bicycles and wheels to it. The room had a kettle and fridge. The shower was very good and comfortable bed. We had door entry codes which made access easy.

Sadly no bicycle secure parking at the accommodation but Christian warned us of this at the booking stage. He was very kind and let us use his electronic bicycle alarm (which was very good). Our bicycles did not get stolen which was good!

I loved the room itself, it was small but still perfect. It’s about a 20 min walk to the centre or hop on the number 22 bus and it’s about 8 mins in total. The bus stops are located just a 2 min walk from the apartment. Spotless clean, quiet and very accessible.

My only issues was, I thought for what we got for the price we paid was expensive but it’s still the cheapest around. €600 for 3 nights for two people was a lot.

Lovely location, slightly further outside of the centre gave us the opportunity to have a wonder around quieter streets. Christian couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This property had everything we needed for our two-night stay. Very clean place and the bed was comfortable. Really like the view of the canal from the room and there were interesting cafes and breakfast places nearby. The OBA library is also within walking distance. Christian, our host was very helpful with all the local tips and made the check in process easy.

The location was just a little farther out from the city centre than we expected - wasn't really a problem for us except that it was a bit cold and rainy/windy out at the time we visited. Bathroom's a bit on the small side but this didn't really bother us either.

Christian’s place is exceptional new, clean and tidy and everything are up to an outstanding standard. The location is good distance walk to the central Amsterdam, the science museum and the central library but out of way to busy touristy areas and quiet. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby within a few mins walk. I would certainly highly recommend his place and would love to come back and stay again.

The stairs inside are typical Dutch Amsterdam houses narrow stairs.

The place is extremely cosy and nice with modern look and great canal view. The host Christian is very kind, responsive and easy going
