Botanique is a one of a kind experience. The incredible design and ambience of this place is unlike any luxury hotel we have stayed in before. Particular highlights were the spa, and the food - breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are all locally sourced and designed to be a nod to Brazilian cuisine. The tasting menu at Cellar was top notch, creative and better than a lot of haute cuisine for the same price in London. Cocktails are just as excellent. The staff are warm, professional and remember personal touches about your needs. It is clear that the new management is building something very special. Worth every penny!

The location in the mountains and therefore the views are incredible. We stayed in the most basic room, but it was still very spacious and with great facilities. The interior style of the hotel is very beautiful.

The hotel really requires a thorough clean. All of the large glass windows - in the restaurant, in our room, in the lobby, and especially in the spa area were filthy. One could see that the whole interior is a bit worn, there are limestone stains everywhere on the tiles and glass. The glass window from the indoor spa pool was so dirty (limestone from the inside, dirt/sand from the outside), it was actually difficult to see outside. The outdoor pool was very dirty and we didn't see anyone cleaning it in the two days we were there. it was full with leaves, insects, pollen etc. During our stay, there were 2 staff members + a manager who spoke English, no one else could communicate with us. It was a bit frustrating needing to use google translate when calling the reception or ordering cocktails by the pool- it's a bit strange taking into account the hotel is a chain around the world.

Six Senses Botanique is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at and we have travelled a lot!! The location is absolutely gorgeous but what was truly exceptional was the service. Nothing was too much for them, attentive to the detail, warm and friendly staff but also discrete. By far the best holiday experience of our 17 day tour of Brazil. Thank you Six Senses Botanique!!!
