The Karelia Alpine lodge was a perfect stay for my partner and myself, the room was quaint and very clean, the food was always spot on from breakfast to dinner and the team were the most welcoming and friendly staff I have ever encountered (a big thank you to Jerry, Sharma, Phil and Jasmine for making our stay so comfortable), it didn’t feel like a holiday it felt like coming home, my only regret was not booking longer. So if you are looking for accommodation in falls creek I would highly recommend the Karelia Alpine lodge with its whimsical charm, amazing team and authentic Czech cuisine.

The food in the restaurant was lovely and Chloe was friendly and attentive. Sharma is the nicest person and made lovely scrambled eggs every morning.

I'm only 5 foot eleven and my feet were cold because the bed in my room was jammed in and my feet were pressing up against the wall. I had to sleep curled up which was uncomfortable for an older person. The heater in the room was tiny and had no temperature controls. The temperature output was barely discernible. I have never been so cold in accommodation in the snow. The restaurant was nice but freezing. My teeth were chattering. I went to a different place for dinner on my last night and was toasty warm. Overall the temperature levels were very disappointing. I banged my knees on a box in the passage way to my room one night as the light levels were very low and the night light was hidden behind the box so I couldn't see it.
