This property is just beautiful and the owners are just amazing!! SO much fun seeing and playing with all the animals too! Highly recommend!

Owners were absolutely amazing- responding quickly and helped to make sure the weekend of our daughter’s wedding was easy and memorable. Wonderful location and gorgeous home! Backyard is a photographer’s dream!

The pictures are accurate, the house is beautiful. What the pictures didn’t show…..was the INTENSE stench of urine or some kind of dead rotting rodent throughout the whole house. The owner, JD, had casually mentioned only upon arrival that one of their dogs just gave birth to SEVEN puppies….This was not mentioned anywhere in the listing. Perhaps this could have contributed to the smell. These puppies were being kept in one of the rooms of the house with a “Do not enter” sign. My friend thought maybe it was a rat that had died in the air conditioning vents, because the smell was inescapable throughout the entire house. The owner of course didn’t smell it, but there were seven guys and all of us got headaches after staying in the house for about 20 minutes. We were out in front of the house with the front door open discussing what we should do. Even standing 20 feet away outside, we could smell it coming through the front door. It was not the sort of the smell you could cover up with candles. We could taste it and it seemed hazardous to inhale. Having nowhere to go we still decided we had to leave to find some place else. We spoke with JD before leaving and delicately tried to explain the situation without being disrespectful. He said he’d be happy to refund us as long as we didn’t leave a review….which we had no problem with…..but as you can see, I’m writing a review because he decided a week and a half later to refuse me the refund. Like a flip switched in his head. He claimed that he had someone come check out the property an hour after we left and they didn’t smell a thing, and that other people have stayed there since the puppies were born and haven’t complained. He then accused us all of lying and making the whole smell up because he felt we must have changed our mind and would have preferred to go to a hotel instead. This couldn't be further than the truth! Making the choice to leave left us stranded. It was an extreme inconvenience to leave and book other, more expensive accommodations the day of. We spent hours looking for a place where we could stay that afternoon. The town is small so the availability of rooms was limited. All six of us had no reason to lie about this smell. Now we have been accused of being dishonest liars and are out the total cost of the trip. We will need to fight to get our money back ourselves. VERY unfortunate. I URGE you not to stay here.

In the photos none of the flowers are in bloom and let me tell you it transforms the space. The pictures don't do this place justice. You can tell this is a home they care deeply for. JD and Keith were wonderful hosts who introduced us to the animals and, set/lit a fire for us in the outdoor firepit and even brought in our grocery order from InstaCart that arrived late while we were out to dinner. This property is so close to everything, it makes for a great central location to Solvang, Los Olivos and Santa Yanez Valley. Also the beds are SUPER comfy (all of them), I feel like people don't comment on that enough in these reviews. That can make or break a stay somewhere. Anyway- highly highly recommend!!

We rented this amazing farmhouse for my brothers wedding weekend! The pictures don’t do this beautiful home justice! We got in much later than we anticipated and just driving up to this gem, all lit up, was so welcoming! Keith greeted us, gave us a quick tour, and left us to settle in with some yummy charcuterie snacks- so amazing after a long drive!! The house is incredible! It feels like we came to visit good friends and stayed in their home. A six pack of beautiful Dalmatian pups to greet us daily and hang out with the kids. The horses, goats, Miniature donkey, and Fred and Ethel their pigs were all part of our daily scene! JD was so welcoming and friendly- the host with the most!!! Loved chatting with him. And not a single conversation without asking us if we needed anything….seriously the best!! We left feeling like we spent the weekend in our dream home! We will definitely be back to hang out and enjoy more of what the area has to offer but honestly I’ll be back just to relax in this beautiful home and not go anywhere else! Thank you for everything JD and Keith!

We had a wonderful time @ Coyote Creek Ranch. The house is unbelievable & JD and Keith were great hosts. Love the animals on the property -- especially the dalmatians! They were always there to welcome us. So much joy and had a wonderful Easter. Highly recommend this awesome home.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying in this charming and comfortable home which was also beautifully decorated for the Christmas holidays. The hosts were gracious and friendly and the location is close to excellent wineries and several excellent restaurants.

Our stay in this beautiful retreat was amazing! We stayed for 2-nights and didn't want to leave. I love how there's an endless number of quiet spots throughout the house and also outside. You'll find peace anywhere you sit to drink that hot cup of coffee or glass of wine. We all slept well and didn't leave the house until we went wine tasting. Everything is close by! This's the perfect place for couples or families. The property managers elevated our experience with yummy treats and a sweet birthday sign over the fireplace. We're definitely coming back!

This was hands down one of my best vacation rental experiences! The property is absolutely beautiful and is even better than pictured. The grounds are lovely and it was such a treat to get to meet all of the adorable animals. The home is decorated so perfectly with a ton of attention to the little details. The hosts were lovely and so accommodating. I'd love to stay again soon!

My family and I had the best four days during Memorial weekend. JD and Keith are the perfect host, warm and welcoming. The house.. picture perfect. There is so much detail but yet remains so comfortable and inviting. There were so many places to sit and soak up the beauty of this ranch. The front porch offered its own picture perfect spot to hear the wind blowing and nestle and read a book. The backyard porch to eat breakfast in the morning while watching the horses. The backyard in of itself was beautiful serene, drinking wine, playing music, while family played games on the lawn. The animals were the highlight for my family most especially my children, who fell in love with the pigs Ethel and Fred. Feeding the horses in the morning carrots, saying hello to the goats. My daughters holding the most loving gigantic rabbit Jasper. It was just what I could have hoped for on my 40th birthday. Especially after such a hard 2020 year in the medical field. This house and our hosts just filled our hearts and energy tank up. My family and I are very grateful and can’t wait to be back again. Best wishes, Allen family

We loved our stay so much we booked it again for next year! The place was spacious and well appointed. The master bed was divine, especially when you turn on the ceiling fan and leave the window open (as the hosts suggested). The animals were cute and available when we wanted to be with them, but also penned in for those who don't want to interact. Just had a lovely relaxing time! Also, Keith and JD are truly the BEST!

We had the pleasure of staying this property and could not have been more pleased! Not only is the property itself better than the photos, the hosts JD and Keith were nothing short of fabulous! Our kids had a wonderful time playing outside with the animals, and the hosts were so welcoming, they really made the trip memorable. I would highly recommend this property and we look forward to returning very soon!

The house was spectacular; the grounds were spectacular; the animals were spectacular, but our hosts JD and Keith made this a truly memorable vacation. Super nice guys who want your experience to be relaxing and fun. Great trip!!

Keith and JD’s Solvang house is so incredible. The property is massive with a huge front and back yard, horse stables, goats and bunnies. The home is large and well maintained. Its better than the photos. You must go! Really perfect for a family or girls trip.

JD and Keith are so kind and their home is beautiful and well-appointed. It is a special place that allows for relaxation while being centrally located to the wineries, Thanks for a great get away!!

Amazing location and property. JD and Keith were spectacular. The animals we super friendly and our family had a great time in the house, on the grounds and wine tasting at local wineries! We couldn’t ask for anything more!

The owners live on the property and are very nice. They have a bunny, three dogs, two goats, and 4 horses and are happy to show them to you anytime. We really enjoyed our stay and would do it again. The only item I would note is that the listing said it was a 5 bedroom home when it is only a 4 bedroom home (it is clarified in details below that it was 4 bedrooms). One of the bedrooms has bunk beds so unless you want 4 adults in one room on bunk beds it might only support 8 adults.
