Location is ok
Bathroom was well renovated and pleasant
Good WiFi
- Masai at the security was rude! When I came back to the hotel after friends meeting (around 8:30 pm) , nobody was at the gates, so I had to open gate door by myself. Then masai, who was sitting together with guests!! came to me arguing that if I opened the door, I must close it. What??? Shall I do the job of hotel security, while he is doing nothing but sitting with tourists? Sorry, that I disturbed him from not doing his job
- I was surprised that at the evening I wanted to buy something at the hotel (drinks and snacks), but nobody offered even a water
- at the room description there supposed to be mini bar and a kettle. When I got the room, nothing was there. Yes, the room was changed, but mini bar was in such disgusting conditions inside... can't imagine, how people could store something in it (I saved some photos) First time I saw such terrible conditions of amenities at the hotel. Well, as for the kettle - a hotel staff brought it to the room, but how do I suppose to make a tea without even a cup?

Very practical and comfy villas, located almost on the beach

Thank you, Kigwedeni team, we had a wonderful time at your place.
Comfortable and cozy accommodation, cleaning every day, changing towels and bed linen every other day. Breakfast was terrific, a generous plate of delicious fruit, eggs in several ways, pancakes, and more. The villas are located not far from the beach, a 3-4 minute walk through the Masai market. Although we carried in our backpack everything we needed for that day and left after breakfast and returned to the room after dinner because there is so much to see and visit nearby. It's foolish to stay in overpriced hotels that open onto the beach when the beach is the same for everyone. The sand is beautiful, so you don't even need sunbeds. Kigwedeni fulfilled all our expectations and the friendly Masai at the gate always welcomed us with a smile on his face and with Hakuna Matata.
If you seek, you will always find what is wrong, but I like to focus on beautiful things.

I loved the affordability and the short walk to the beach.
The rooms are cleaned every morning and have AC and a ceiling fan. Hussein the manager was very helpful, with restaurant tips and even negotiating a good price for us to get back to Stone Town. I'll definitely be back.

That was close to the beach
Annoying people stopping the tourists on the beach and the music from Cocobello was too loud. I couldn't sleep.

Clean, comfortable and exceedingly close to fabulous beaches. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. We required a strong WiFi signal to be able to conduct a piece of work. They were very supportive to ensure that this could happen!

The ground were well kept and indeed the gardens beautiful. I like that the villages were quiet. At times we heard the disco music from the bigger hotels which were right next door. That was not nice but it is not the fault of Kigwede Villas
I liked the leisurely breakfast experience with no rush.
I really like how they helped us to book the snorkeling tour and our taxis back to the airport. That worked out very smoothly, punctually and economically.
My daughter in law would have really liked some blankets for the beds.
We did not know we had to bring our own soap and shampoo, it would have helped to know that.

Very close to a wonderful beach and also just beside the famous cocobello disco.
Very big bungalow
Was full of several insects, room smelling humidity and seemed like abondoned. Staff was not english speaking and wanted money for every help.
They cleaned room next day and applyed anti insects product, when i opened tge door i saw the cleaning lady putting this product even on our personal clothes, i was chocked because it is very toxic.

The beach was only few steps and there were 2 road too, one from the main gate, one from back side. Big room with spacious bathroom. Lot of space your things to do (3 beds for 2 person). Breakfast was enough and fine.
Worn walls, limescale tap, old doors where big ants came into the room but wasn't so disturbing because there was a net above bed.

Location was good close to beach
There was no hand wash in the toilets. The mosquito nets inthe other room were torn that my grand son woke up with bites all his body.

Nice facility, very friendly staff, Villas are big and nice, and just about 50m away from a very nice, clean beach!
Bed could be more comfortable though.
All in all I would recommend this place!

I have been in Zanzibar for 23 days and stayed in 6 facilities. I am a very good researcher and this facility was the best among the facilities we stayed in. The rooms are very clean, they are cleaned every day. There is no problem with hot water and wi-fi. People are very friendly. They prepared it for us in a very delicious way in return for a fee. In the daytime. A very bright room. If the curtains were dark, it would be more comfortable for sleeping. It is a great comfort to go to the beach by passing the table from the market. I highly recommend it.

It’s a very nice and quiet place (besides Sunday night, where a nearby bar/club has a party), but still close to life. Every room is half a little house and has enough space to comfortable fit 2-3 people. There is an en-suite toilet and shower (again, quite spacious). The rooms don’t have a kitchen, but do contain a fridge for own use. And they offered to make me food both morning and evening (fruits, eggs, buttered toast, and coffee for breakfast; yummy).
The staff here is incredibly friendly, and it feels like they genuinely enjoy helping and being hospitable.
And oh man was it affordable. If I come to Nungwi again, then I’ll be looking this place up.
I don’t have any complaints whatsoever!
