Beautiful property, quiet and private! We really appreciated this especially being close to everything we wanted to see and do. Jim and Lisa were wonderful hosts. They were responsive when contacted. They are very thoughtful regarding every little detail to make your stay extra special. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. Everything you could ask for and more was provided. Great place on a a great property!

This apartment is in a beautiful area just 20 minutes from downtown Portland. This was the last leg of our trip and we knew we wanted to spend a day in Portland and a day in Kennebunkport. This location was perfect for accessing both. The owners are great communicators and they offer the perfect little extras - charging stations AND cords next to both sides of the bed. That’s thoughtful! Coffee too. A little bonus…. A sweet little dog named Fenway will let you cuddle him if you’d like. And if not, he’s cool. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We stayed for a week in August. The property was very clean and well appointed - with a great BBQ grill on the deck. Although attached to the main house, we had complete privacy from our hosts. I would stay here again the next time we visit ME.

This lovely 1 bedroom “in-law” type setup is perfectly arranged for a comfortable stay. It is a bit off the beaten path but chances are if you’re in Portland for the nightlife you’re not going to be looking to stay in Scarborough. It’s very quiet. There is good WIFi and the separate Apple TV units in bedroom and living area are a nice touch. The kitchen is very well appointed, with plenty of dishes, glasses, and utensils and even condiments, cooking oil, and spices if you’re inclined to cook. The AC works well for hot days. The bed is comfortable and there’s a ceiling fan in the bedroom. There are motion activated nightlights strategically located (although I turned off the one in the bedroom since it came on when the fan was going). The towels were thick and luxurious and the shampoo and shower gel dispensers were convenient (conditioner was not provided so I bought some at the Hannaford). The shower was fine, a bit lower in pressure than ideal for me but not unacceptable. I didn’t use the grill or the fire pit. The power to the whole neighborhood went out while I was there and the owner responded immediately to my communication to let me know (nothing they could do but I appreciated the communication) and it was back on by the time we got back from lunch. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend!

We spent a great long-weekend in this clean, comfortable, peaceful rental. The space was thoughtfully prepared for guests so we had everything we needed for a care-free stay. Located in a beautiful neighborhood, it was an easy drive to restaurants, beaches, and beautiful Portland. King-sized bedroom was very comfortable!

The place was fabulous, every amenity you could want. It was quiet, homey and centrally located to so many things within 1 hr in every direction. Although on site, it was as if the hosts were never there - unless you needed something - in which case they were very responsive. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. What a value (we almost didn’t want to say that, for fear of it becoming too popular that we can’t go back). Would very highly recommend!!

We loved our stay and appreciate all of the little touches to make this place comfortable. We felt at home, fully able to relax in a spotless guest house. The neighborhood was great and the view a d drive with the fall foliage was gorgeous.

Very nice home in a rural area within 10 miles of downtown Portland. Within an hour of the Southern beaches and Freeport (LL Bean town) to the north. We’d absolutely stay there again, yet would consider finding a place further north to save driving time to Rockland, Bar Harbor/Acadia NP and points north. The host (Lisa) was very helpful and was right there (the apartment is in their home, yet very private) if you needed anything.

Me and my husband spent 3 nights in October 2021. The property was very nice, clean, roomy, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. There were restaurants and stores near if we needed anything. We are in our 60s. We did day trips in the area so we’re mostly there to sleep and eat breakfast or dinner.

Very quiet suburban neighborhood about 20mins outside of Portland, ME. Very hospitable guest! Easy to communicate with and very respectful of privacy. Easy to avoid highways and traffic was easy going. Just rained a lot but they had plenty of good recommendations to make the best of it. They were nice enough to allow me to stay an extra night for a 2/3 price discount due to inclement weather and canpming plans. Highly recommend!
