The Clover Cottage is an adorable abode! I cannot say enough nice things about how cozy and comfortable we were. I was visiting my son and didn't want to be in a hotel setting. Luckily, I found this listing on VRBO. It was nothing short of perfect! We each had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is a dream and so fun to cook in! The host has done a wonderful job of creating a welcoming home away from home. I plan to reserve with them again when I'm in Winona.

Cozy, well kept home! In town with another couple for a pickleball tournament and it was perfect for us. So much better than staying at a motel! Everything we needed was there and all went very smooth. Beds were comfortable (that's a big deal for us), water was hot and we enjoyed visiting and watching a little TV in the cozy living room. We would stay here again. Maybe next year for the same tournament!!

Our stay at the Clover Cottage was absolutely delightful. The home is welcoming and well stocked for cooking at “home”. It caters to families and was thoughtfully stocked for those with young children. The location is perfect with access to the lakes. We will make this a routine stay on our trips to Winona, MN.

The host Susan was very nice and polite. It was very close to Wisconsin boarder plus downtown. She even wrote out on a board what to do or to eat. Nice place to stay.

This home was perfect for our weekend visit to Winona. Our group of 4 women had plenty of room to relax, enjoy meals, and sleep in the house! It is central to all locations in the city and a block from the walking path at the lake. Susan responded quickly to all questions and even had the trundle set up as the fourth bed before we arrived. I have never seen a rental as clean as this one!!

This house is in a great location by the lake. Very nicely decorated and clean. It was stocked for all essentials needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Susan was very pleasant to work with.

This adorable house by the lake was full of charm and convenience. Everything needed for the week was on hand and questions were answered by the host/owner promptly. Everything was comfy and cozy and we would definitely book another trip in the future!

This is an excellent property! I actually selected this one because it has a king tempur-pedic bed in the bedroom upstairs. We were in Winona for the triathlon and I wanted to make sure I slept like I was at home. I sure did! I think that bed is more comfortable than my own. The location is excellent and the accommodations are so comfortable. Thanks so much - we will be back next year.

We were in town for College graduation and moving our daughter home. The house was very clean and decorated very nice.The kitchen was great and had everything we needed for cooking our meals.
We were just a couple minute walk from the lakes which was great and also within walking distance of Winona state university campus.

I had a relaxing stay at the house. It was surprisingly non-creaky for an older home. Occasionally the house would rattle due to a passing train, but the trains themselves weren't loud. Just something to be aware of. The neighborhood was very quiet, and I slept great.

We had a very comfortable and cozy stay. The house was very roomy, clean and perfectly set up for a family or group of friends. Susan was easily accessible and helped us with whatever we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place or a nicer person to deal with. We highly recommend it to any and all visitors.

Our family gathered for our second (early) Thanksgiving holiday at the cottage. The property is very comfortable for everyone, with a fully-equipped kitchen with lots of surface area for preparing and serving food, a separate dining room with a full-size table and chairs, and comfy couches and a reading nook in the living room. When all the guests had gone, we enjoyed a quiet night's sleep in very comfortable beds. So many thoughtful touches and a calming decor, plus the property is super-clean. Our host lives nearby and we had the pleasure of meeting her as she came by to salt the walkway. We highly recommend staying here.

Myself and my three adult daughters, ages 18, 20, and 25 stayed for the weekend. One daughter attends college in Winona and another in Rochester. We spent the weekend in Winona and Lacrosse taking in the sites. The house was perfect for playing cards and watching movies in the evenings. We loved it and plan to stay again.

The cottage is so cute! It has all the charm you would expect from an older home but also the updates to make it comfortable. The beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked and there’s off street parking. The location is great! You are close to the lakes and trails, the college and shopping. The red roof makes it easy to spot too. There were four of us and we had plenty of room and everything we needed!

They say you never get a 2nd chance for a first impression but, in this case, they did. We had some issues when we first checked in but the owner was very responsive and took care of all of the issues. Great location too.

Hosts responded quickly and house was clean and well stocked. I loved the character of the home, the closeness to the lake, and all the decorations and personal touches. I especially enjoyed the porch swing 😃

We loved the character of this house - antique farm blended with modern! Beds were very comfortable, neighborhood was quiet and the easy walk to the Lake was much appreciated.
The one unexpected occurrence was noticeable shaking whenever a train passed by (I guess this is part of the charm). This was most evident in the upstairs master bedroom, in the early morning.
Nevertheless, we had a great stay and highly recommend this house in the heart of Winona.

Spent the weekend in Winona with some friends to celebrate my husband's birthday. This house was perfect for us. It was super clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved how close it was to the lake park. Susan was a very friendly host. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much!

The entire house was spotless, well-kept, and felt extremely homey. And, it was large enough for my husband, me and our our two teens to have our own space and also hang out together. We played poker at the dining room table, watched a baseball game in the living room, and the kids appreciated having their own bedrooms upstairs. The location was perfect - close to some amazing lake trails that are perfect for biking or walking. And, Winona is a great community - small town, laid back feeling with easy access to beautiful lakes and on the Mississippi River. We had just enough to keep our family (including teens) busy while still feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. It was great family bonding time.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying in Winona. The house had everything we needed (reminded me of my grandmother's house very cute) and was in a good location. We were in town for a family reunion in Rollingstone. Wish we had had more time to explore the area

Had a girl's weekend in Winona and this was a great house! We were able to walk to the downtown area-- lots of cute restaurants and bars. The lake is close by and made for a great afternoon walk. The house was perfect for hanging out with many different sleeping spaces. Susan was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating when we asked for early check-in and local recommendations. Lots of cute personal touches in the house- Would highly recommend this house and the Winona area for a girls getaway :)

We had a family get-together in Winona and this was the perfect place to have as a home base. We baked and made dinners in the well appointed kitchen, and enjoyed the lake. The host is delightful. We'll be back!

Excellent lake access with all the necessities
We had an excellent time at Clover cottage! We would stay here again and future trips to Winona. The kitchen was well stocked, and perhaps even more importantly, well labeled! We were thrilled to see that each drawer and cupboard had a label telling us what was inside. I guess a lot of time when looking for things to make meals. Having laundry on site was excellent, we borrowed bikes and a bike helmet which was wonderful.

Incredible play to stay!
My husband and two little boys stayed in Winona for a long weekend getaway. This VRBO was a 5/5 on all levels. Perfect communication with the hosts, extremely clean, and great location. We enjoyed walking around Lake Winona and the cute neighborhoods. Susan offered a double stroller for our boys, which saved us packing room in the car! The home was so cozy and spacious. Highly recommend this place!!

An excellent place.
This is a charming old two story house with the perfect combination of antique and modern. For example there is an enameled cast iron claw foot tub (with shower) upstairs and a spacious jacuzzi style tub downstairs.
The electronic door locks eliminated the need for keys and all of the check in and out information was on the kitchen counter for us to view.
I would definable recommend this as a place to stay!

Charming place in a quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and neat and plenty of amenities. Susan our host was very informative and communicated every step of the way. We will definitely return to the area and hope to book this property again.

Not one thing overlooked
We cannot say enough good things about our stay in Winona!! From a goody box to welcome us until we departed, everything was done to make us feel right at home. Clover Cottage is a beautifully restored older home in a lovely neighborhood…very restful, cozy and difficult to leave! Susan is a lovely host and has thought of everything! We are thankful for a sweet time, celebrating our grandson’s graduation with family.
