Beautiful grounds and rooms. Very clean. Attentive and kind staff. Good food with decent prices.

Toiletries are the bare minimum- bring your own shampoo!

Honestly, this is the best guest house in Rwanda. The visit there was even more exciting that national park itself, really...! I wish i had more time to spend there not on transit to the park but for relaxation. The place is good also for distant working as the room has a working desk. Outside: Good terrace with green environment, see the pictures how they are decorated with flowers and greenery. Small well maintained garden. The rooms: Rooms are with nice interior, good design. Bathroom with hot water. Cleen. I had no problems with mosquitoes or other insects at all. Mattress are hard, which i like. My room was backside, so no noise at all. Staff: Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect communication before my visit, they help me to plan and organise any details of my visit to the park. The staff really care about their clients and are fully helpful and reliable.

The location of the lodge just 5min drive from the main parc entrance makes it a great starting point . The nice and cosy rooms, the excellent restaurant and most important the very friendly and helpful staff make it even better.

Everything was incredible! The staff were so accommodating, making sure we had dinner ready and served when we arrived late (11pm!!) and accommodated to our every need. The rooms are beautifully done and it feels like a proper tranquil piece of paradise! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Like most hotels I’ve experienced in Rwanda, the mattresses and very stiff. Not the most comfortable but I still slept well.

Great atmosphere, employees who help you wherever they can (they talk English and French well), a nice view, great breakfast, a nice shower and big bed and nearby the Akagare National Park.

the walls are thin so if you have neighbours, it is noisey. The wifi is weak; it does not work in the room, only at the bar.

Location was very easy to find. The greeting at the reception was great and the service overall was exceptional! They even got an extra bed in the room for my daughter, ironed the sheets and all. They offered a very early breakfast especially for us according to our trip needs and prepared lunch boxes for all of us, which included - water, fruit and very rich sandwiches. The night we stayed there, they even made fire for us outside and maintained it the whole time we were outside.

The rooms were very nice - excellent bathrooms (probably the best shower I had in Rwanda). Staff was friendly and helpful; some spoke more English than others. Food was great! They were very accommodating to special food requests as long as we could make ourselves understood.

Slight differences between what I thought I booked and what we got - wasn't a big deal but we had a king bed instead of 2 doubles in a couple rooms.

We stayed for a night before our visit to Akagera National Park. Super friendly and accommodating staff, really nice rooms, great food and overall a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Really happy with our stay here!

Such a great place to stay! The staff was very attentive and even offered the amazing extra service of washing our car after the last day in the park. The rooms are nice and large, with a king size bed and great shower. Also the breakfast was lovely, as are the packed lunch options they offer. Would definitely recommend Akagera Transit Lodge.

Do note that the accomodation is not inside the park, but still very close (5 minute drive) to the southern gate.
