Beautiful lakefront. Cottage is well appointed with lots of nice little touches. Loons calling, geese flocking for the trip south. Saw a group of 4 otters playing every day. Very relaxing trip.

Enjoyed our stay with old friends. The kitchen was well stocked. The view was picturesque. We were able to kayak as well as use the pedal boat. Lots of space for 6 adults. Close proximity to some quaint little towns.

We had an incredibly relaxing stay at Sun on the Brow! Kim and Bill were so kind and communicative and we had everything we needed. The included kayaks/canoes and SUPs are very special.

The cottage was spacious, clean and well kept. It had a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of dining spaces inside and out.
The views from the wrap-around deck were amazing and the dock was the perfect spot for a cup of coffee in the morning.

Within one hour of arriving, I told the family that I'd be booking this cottage next year....and I did. As a Senior with mobility issues, this cottage offered me a chance to rest and spend time with my family. We were a group of 5 - from ages 4 to 64. At other cottages that we have stayed at through the years, we have always planned "Day Trips" because there was not enough to do to keep the grandkids occupied. They only left the cottage once (to go get ice cream and watch the Chaffey Lock). Even on rainy days, the kids (and adults) had a BLAST. Access to the Boathouse (game room) gave us a ton of options. Not having to bring our own firewood (and a family friendly firepit) was a HUGE bonus. Everything we needed was there. We just had to bring our clothes and food. And we didn't have to leave with our garbage (that has been a big frustration with other cottages)! The hosts are amazing too - thank you so much.

The Sun on the Brow cottages offered the ideal arrangement for our family of six and extended family members. We each enjoyed privacy in our own cottages but the large dining table in the Grandview Cottage allowed the 12 of us to gather together for meals. We’ve stayed at different locations on Opinicon and Indian Lakes over the past 35+ years and everyone agreed this was our favorite spot on the lake. Bill and Kim are amazing hosts who welcome you upon check-in and make themselves available to you throughout your stay. They have thoughtfully ensured that each cottage is well-stocked with everything one needs or wants and provide all the fun water toys for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Our family is already looking forward to coming back next year!

I have previously stayed at Grandview Cottage with family and was eager to come again with a group of girlfriends. The cottage is well taken care of with many upgraded and helpful amenities. The views from the cottage are absolutely stunning regardless of time of day! I love that there are many different places to relax (main room of cottage, by the bonfire, on the dock, in the boathouse). Did not disappoint for the second time visiting. Thank you Kim&Bill!

The property location is in close proximity to everything on Opinicon Lake. Kim and Bill were good host, always willing to help or answer any questions we had. It is evident that they have put a lot of time into renovating the cottages and property. We are excited to return on our next visit to Opinicon Lake.

Great cottage with lovely view of the lake. Very clean with very comfortable beds and all the comforts of home. We travelled with family who were in their early eighties so loved the one floor layout and the great wraparound deck as well as the walk-in showers. Kim and Bill were easily accessible if we had any questions.

You couldn't ask for a better location to relax, celebrate, visit some towns for shopping and meals and get a little fishing in as well. Hosts were easy to talk to and even helped out when we asked for a favour. Definitely will be staying there again in the near future!

This tastefully decorated and spacious cottage has an incredible view of the lake. Enjoyed the watercraft and games room. The beds were delightful and the kitchen is very well stocked…including a crock pot and air fryer. Bill and Kim make themselves available and continue to keep the grounds lovely. Great time was had by all. Thanks!!

The location on a beautiful lake easily accessible from homes in eastern Ontario. Our cottage “ The Grandview “, easily slept six. We felt very private yet whenever we wanted to reach out to our hosts they were only a text away. The whole experience was a positive one.

The Cottage was everything we hoped it would be. Our hosts Kim and Bill went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for the week. Sun on the Brow was the perfect home base for our Rideau Lakes adventures.

Cannot say enough good things about Grandview cottage. The views are beautiful and the cottage itself was impeccably clean, comfortable and well appointed. Kim and Bill are excellent hosts and did an amazing job renovating this gem. The wrap around deck is the best spot to sit out and watch the loons swim by. We’ll definitely be back.

The Grandview is all that it is described in the listing and more. I am a clean freak and it exceeded my cleanliness bar. The kitchen is better stalked than my kitchen at home and Kim and Bill were fabulous hosts going out of their way to answer all my questions. We arrived during a heat wave and were grateful for the efficient air conditioning. Thank yo for a lovely stay.

Grandview Cottage
Thanks to our great hosts for a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage with a magnificent wrap around deck to enjoy the view! The cottage was supplied with everything you needed and more. The cottage also had access to a wonderful games room in addition to kayaks and a canoe which we took advantage of many times! Wonderful place and great hosts!

Beautiful cottage, wonderful hosts.
We loved our stay at Kim and Bill's cottage. Super clean place, with obvious care and attention to all details, very helpful and friendly hosts, with a super friendly dog also. Our pup loved meeting them all. The huge deck with amazing view over the lake is the best part. The cottage is up on a hill and gets a very nice airflow off the water so we didn't even need to turn on the air conditioner once and loved waking up with the windows open to the sounds of nature all around us. Hearing the calls of the loons out on the lake is what cottage life is all about. Spectacular sunrises if you have a dog and are up early like we are. So close to very cool cafes and restaurants within a 15 to 20 min drive in Westport or Portland. The Opinicon is a secret gem, and spending time at Chaffey's Locks is a must, you can stop in for ice cream next door after watching the boat traffic.

Exceeded expectations!
Owners great, very friendly and accommodating. When they say dog friendly, they really mean dog friendly. The standard of equipment eg kitchen ware was excellent. The wrap around deck got sun in the morning, and shade in the afternoon. Bonus for us, it was gated, so our puppy could free roam on the deck. The aircon worked well when needed. Water pressure and hot water was abundant. Water toys in very good condition. Certainly exceeded our expectations!

I have been going to this lake for 35 years and stayed somewhere else. This was the best trip by far. The cottage was exceptional, clean and very convenient. The owners were the best. Kim and bill could not do enough for us. They even had the makings for smores in the cabin for us. We will definitely stay there next year. They even joined us for our fish fry.

Great Spot to Gather
This was a great spot to gather with family and friends. It is well secluded and quiet. The main house is well appointed with a full kitchen, a must when you just want to stay put and enjoy your company.
The weather didn't allow us to use the boat house much but it will be a bonus once summer is in full swing.
This will be a fantastic place for large family gatherings when the surrounding cottages are finished.

The house was much better than the pictures and it's position on the lake was amazing. There was no one in sight and the stillness was amazing. The bird feeders around the house attracted a wide array of birds and the lake had an assortment of ducks and even a pair of swans. The area within an hours drive included many lovely towns such as Perth, Westport an Merrickville which are well worth exploring. If you want larger cities, Kingston is only 45 minutes south and even Ottawa is only an hour and half away.
Lots to do and see in this area and definitely will be back.

The house was much better than the pictures and it's position on the lake was amazing. There was no one in sight and the stillness was amazing. The bird feeders around the house attracted a wide array of birds and the lake had an assortment of ducks and even a pair of swans. The area within an hours drive included many lovely towns such as Perth, Westport an Merrickville which are well worth exploring. If you want larger cities, Kingston is only 45 minutes south and even Ottawa is only an hour and half away.
Lots to do and see in this area and definitely will be back.

Perfect cottage getaway.
Situated on a private point, the Grandview cottage was stellar. Incredible views of the lake from every window, beautifully decorated in cottage style and immaculately clean. The hosts Kim and Bill were super friendly, responsive and eager to help make the stay great. Lots of wildlife everywhere to keep us entertained. We saw an otter, mink, beavers, and lots of birds on the feeders all day long. Can't wait to come back!
