Wow! Fabulous location with extra special amenities and attention to detail. Drew and Kelly were amazing hosts providing a lovely and spacious home. Our family of five really enjoyed our time together at Dora Canal Inn.

Better than the pictures! Everything was very clean. I dont think there was anything missing, we were so impressed with all the things that were provided. The snacks were a welcome sight & the charcuterie tray was awesome! Drew & Kelly were fantastic with communication. From the moment we stepped into the Dora Canal Inn, we were blown away. The effort and attention to detail that the owners put into making their guests comfortable was impressive. We have stayed in many rental homes in central Florida and around the USA and none have exceeded our expectations like this one. The adjustable Serta beds were awesome. The outdoor seating areas and fire pit were amazing. There were many amenities provided that we did not expect, such as Neutrogena makeup wipes, water and Famous Amos cookies. We picked this property mainly because my two young adult sons wanted to do some fishing and kayaks were provided. The four of us enjoyed riding them down the beautiful Dora Canal and my two sons spent hours fishing and caught many fish. They even caught an 8 pounder. This was one of our favorite family trips thanks to this awesome property. We are already looking forward to the next time that we can get away to The Dora Canal Inn.

We have rented several vacation homes on Vrbo and this home/property stands above them all. The Dora Canal Inn is everything promised. It was comfortable, meticulously clean, and had all the amenities to allow you to bring just your suitcase for two weeks. We hope that many more get to enjoy the peace and quiet and uniqueness of this Dora Canal hideaway with direct boat access to the Harris Chain of lakes. Everything was fabulous! We enjoyed the beautiful home with all the extras, including pac man and frogger game, golf cart, grill, comfy beds, cornhole, and the cheese tray was so very sweet with gluten free crackers! My granddaughter loved the smores. We will be back!

This place has it all! We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. If you are looking for a “stay-cation” in a house with all the amenities you could want or need, this is the spot. Even caught a few little fish while watching boats go by on the canal all day long. Also, the master bedroom has the comfiest bed ever. We will definitely be booking this house again!

What an amazing place! Our family (2 adults and 2 boys, 8 and 10) stayed there for 4 nights at the start of summer break. The hosts thought of everything and we made use of all of the amenities the house provided. We even rented a boat one day and realized we forgot something, it was nice to just pull up to the dock and hop out and get it. We saw otters playing around the dock and tons of beautiful birds as well. It was a great trip!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, everything you could need was provided, and the hosts made sure we had a great time. The house and property were beautiful. So much to do we didn't even use half of the amenities they provided. We look forward to staying again to use all the toys! Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Dora Canal Inn! The house is perfect…owners have made all the best touches for our stay to make it just right! So comfortable and the house had everything we needed!

There is nothing to say but excellence in performance for the owners of the Dora Canal Inn. Home was spotless. Total renovations of interior. TV's and WiFi thoughout, and NEW memory foam mattresses that allowed us to get the rest we needed after enjoying the local activities of the area. Boating, site seeing, etc..
But the best part of this location, is the location itself on the Dora Canal. We watched boats go by all day and were entertained. We also rented a boat for the day and were able to pull up to the dock and pick up our elderly family members.
We look forward to staying here again. We highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Kelly & Drew were the best hosts, providing everything we needed. We were even surprised with a charcuterie platter, s’mores kit and snacks. We enjoyed our days out on the lake, and our nights by the fire pit. It was nice to ride the golf cart to explore downtown Taveres. Overall it was such a relaxing stay & we would love to come back in the future!

I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was on Dora Canal. Everything about the home, from spotlessly clean to thoughtful decor and every possible detail being managed with care. The welcome wine and charcuterie were again spectacular. The setting is uber relaxing and fun - watching the boats come down the canal and fishing from the dock. Walking distance to the Tavares lakeside boardwalk and many fun restaurants!

This property was amazingly beautiful inside and out. Great location right on the canal. The house had everything you could want and then some!! Drew and Kelly were amazing hosts even providing a welcome food basket!! We will definitely be coming back.

Property exceeded our expectations. The Farmers have thought of every convenience. The home was spotless and comfortable.
Spent many hours each day relaxing on the waterfront dock with fishing rods in hand. Caught something each time. On the final day, I hooked into an alligator gar that was probably in the neighborhood of 6 feet long, weighing about 50 lbs. Wore him out but had no way of landing him.
The only drawback was the proximity to major roads which seem to have sirens going about 20% of the time. Once we got used to this, it really wasn't a problem. Hardly noticed it when inside the house.
We enjoyed the constant parade of various water vehicles on the canal.
The location, close to Rt. 19, turned out to be an advantage as it was close to all major stores and also the bait shop.
Breakfast at the 441 diner is a must.
Planning to return again next year.

This house is absolutely perfect! It is the cleanest property we have ever stayed at and it literally has every single thing you need. The location is excellent and the view is amazing! Beds are super comfortable the layout is perfect and the hosts are awesome! Hosts go above and beyond here with s’mores kits and charcuterie and make you feel so welcome with their hospitality. If you are looking for a place here trust me this will exceed your expectations! Outdoor fire pit, golf cart, mrs Pac-Man and other games, boat dock, they literally didn’t miss anything! Looking forward to future tournaments and making more memories here!

property was in excellent condition...had more amenities than we used. our fourth vrbo and by far the best experience than any of them. could not have asked for a better location or a more comfortable home. hose opened up his entire property to us and supplied "little things" that were not available in other vrbo s that we have used.

This home has everything you need for a vacation/staycation. Well appointed and very clean. We stayed here for a 3 day Bronco/Jeep event hosted at a farm 5 min. away. We always stay on the water and truly enjoyed all the thoughtful & amazing amenities like, boat dock, fire pit (they even included a smores kit for the kiddos), corn hole, & golf cart. For anyone traveling with a boat, this is a perfect location bc of its close proximity to a boat launch and the ease of getting to the chain of lakes. The hosts were very kind and responded quickly to all our needs. If available, we will always book this home anytime we stay Tavares or Mount Dora. Thank you for everything.
