Excellent service by the team at Pangkor Laut who served us at our 4 Bedroom Villa at the Estates.Chef cooked plenty of delicious fresh meals to keep us well over fed. Butler was amazing, efficient & thoughtful of us. Staff at every corner willing to make sure we are being catered to our every needs and issues that we may have faced. Overall words can’t describe the amazing service we have received during our stay.One of a kind experience if you decide to splurge on the “Estate” package. Highly recommended!

Pangkor Laut Resort is such a consummate hotel with placid environment and vivacious amenities. If you would like to escape from the crowds for few days, you will find the Hotel as a successful permutation of what was in style before. First, the Hotel easily prepossessed us with sedulous staff with jocund attitude! Although the trip has only lasted for three days, it's such a catholicon for securing constant gratification. The winsome natural environment and the vigorous hotel service are advantages indeed, however, the food provided by the restaurants seems to be unsavory with insufficient choices. The blemished and lackluster restaurant is the weakest link, compared to the other aspects!

Staff greeted us at the jetty and showed us to the reception area when we were given a cold refreshing drink and a cool face towel to freshen up. The ac had already been switched on in advance to keep the room nice and cold for us. Then after returning back from dinner, the room was beautifully decorated with happy birthday message on the bed with flower petals and leaves for my wife. The room was large and the bed very comfy. Service from staff was exemplary which even extended to the attention given to my 7 year old daughter during breakfast. All this made our stay a most memorable one.

Loved the design of it. Loved Emerald Bay. Spa treatment was very good. Disappointed to see that with all the problems of plastic washing up on the beach they are still using plastic bottles and straws.

This is an excellent resort, well-managed and well-designed. We stayed for 3 nights recently and had an excellent time. There are plenty of dining options and there is a wonderful place to relax and swim (Emerald Beach) that you can get an easy shuttle-bus to. Staff were very polite and very efficient.

The Villas are beautiful, and the experience at the spa was not only unique but flawless.The only issue for us was the trash in the water and costal areas. For instance, an old refrigerator and trash was in the sand in front of our water villa (117) for two days. Our last night at the hotel we had bad weather, lots of rain and thunderstorms. The strong currents drift the old refrigerator back to the sea. At Emerald bay, we found plastic bags floating and used them to pick up lots of trash. Two plastic bags full of it. I know the trash in the ocean is not the hotel's fault but more attention has to be taken to those on the shore to prevent them from drifting back into the sea.

Rooms are below average. The sea water around the until is very very dirty and has a lot of trash. room not very clean at check-in

Beautifully resort with lovely staff. Spread out nicely so that it doesn’t feel crowded at any time. Good restaurants with nice variety. Facilities like gym and spa well laid out, good service. Overall excellent upscale place to stay

The only drawbacks I can imagine: Forget about excursions, its just not doable, you are stuck on this paradise island The boat from Marina Island is expensive, 320 RM The sea was not crystal clear, nothing like Maldives It was difficult moving across island on foot

The property is beautiful, the service was great, the food was ok. My only criticism was the minibar wasn't restocked daily, the price for food was high; I paid $60 for two mimosas at breakfast. Also, there is no information on excursions off the island. They offer a boat to Pangkor island but good luck after they drop you on the beach. The only other thing is i paid for the Sea Villa and my boyfriend wanted a bigger room with a TV, so we asked to downgrade after 2 days to a beach villa, which is about $125 cheaper per night. We had 5 more nights left so thats $625. I know it was my option, but they didnt comp me at all. At the least they could've comped me $250 for my meals. It just would've been a good gesture of customer service.

Outstanding resort with everything you could want. We went in a time the resort was quiet and it made our stay so much better. The Spa Village is worth the extra for the quiet

Rooms right on the water are well worth the extra price. You can hear the water & waves all around you while in the room. Rooms are nicely appointed. Nearby jungle treks are wild with monkeys and wild boars and some of the animals can be dangerous if walking alone. Breakfast facilities are excellent but choices for casual lunch and dinner are rather limited. Gym facility is well equipment with nice views all around. Staff is pleasant and welcoming. I stayed alone for a weekend but will definitely return with the family someday.

Pangkor Laut Resort, Malaysia: If Pavarotti had a suite on this private island named after him here and was an amorous fan, this must be paradise (so much for waxing and singing lyrical of the place). This has, for light years, been on my to-go places for divinity. And today, after a private speed boat away, I set foot upon the beauty. The villas are massive and the bathrooms and tubs contain any sized ego’s. If you stay at the beachfront, do be mindful of waking up to the soundtrack of Batman. A particular specie of bats (flying fox) colonise a tree. The cacklings in the wee hours would be something Pavarotti wouldn’t approve of. Emerald Bay is the hidden beach where a stretch of emerald greet you (hence the name). The water is green clear (as if this ever exists!) and gentle. The sand feels like powder crunched under your feet. This is simply, paradise. On a side note, there were a few kinks but all sorted out by the gracious staff at Pangkor Laut. The response time was knee jerk. The hospitality oozed with warmth and sincerity. Special thanks to GM Derrick Gooch, Serena Chau and Dashni Chandran. And to our favourite server Vipin, who went the mile when it was the extra length needed.

Great beach, good hotel but very pricy. Especially hidden costs like the shuttle boat and very pricy food you cant escape. Rooms are not suitable for 2 children as they do not provide extra mattresses.

Booked for 3 days 2 night, first night was very bad and couldn’t sleep until 3.00am due to toilet bowl malfunction and water keeps flowing.

A truly tranquil and calming environment. A wonderful relaxing few days in beautiful surroundings. Being joined by a toucan as we sat having a cup of tea on the verandah of our chalet was an unforgettable memory. Attending the complimentary yoga session each morning was a good way to start the day. The sound of the waves helped provide a calming effect for our hour long class. It was a bonus when the local monitor lizards joined us to bask in the sun. YTL resort on Pangkor Laut is a truly unique place. I took my dad there as a present for his 92nd birthday. He said that it was the closest he had come to Shangrila!

Great and beautiful places for me and my spouse to be away from the busy city. Delicious food, comfort bed, great ambience and attentive staff. Definitely will revisit.

There's was not a lot of vegetarian food, uncle Lim's had soya meat so that was ok. Needs things like salads with ordinary dressings, omelettes etc. everything was so over the top in the restaurants. One did a burger but no veggie option
