Great location. Older building with a lot of character. The room was a bit dated.

The location is great, ocean view. Walking distance to Broadway Ferry, Seaport Village and Little Italy. Room is clean. Staff are friendly. Parking is an issue even we are paying for it. The parking space is very small. The restaurants share parking lot with the hotel. It is hard to find a space at weekend evenings.

Overall, it was good. I generally stay at the property when I visit San Diego. I love the location. My only comment is that the AC unit would make loud noises when it kicked on, waking me several times in the middle of the night.

Loved the view from our 10th floor room, nice location to the elevator but long walk to the front desk.
Great location for the cruise ship and midway museum you can walk to them!

Relaxing get a way, for two. San Diego is great. The Wyndam is comfortable, convenient, and priced right.

Some time prior to arrival I asked for a quiet room, away from the elevators. The hotel acknowledged receipt.
I was given the first room next to the elevators and fronting the main busy road.

Stay was fine, service of the valets need some work. Lil boys with attitudes.
Fridge, alarm clocks in both rooms did not so that was frustrating

Could not get decaf coffee at Starbucks stand in hotel. Patio/balcony door was broken and would not open. The problem was known, did not have part. Found this out day 3 of our 4 day stay. Everything thing was acceptable

We just came here for a couple nights. Our room was great and comfortable! We were right across from North Harbor Drive and could walk all over. Walked to Little Italy and the Gas Light District, and even walked back from the zoo.
Would highly recommend!

The Hotel and staff were great. But the buolding is in newd of some major TLC. I am a maintenance supervisor and noticed lots of issues primarily with the elevators during my stay

Got off cruise early morning & Wyndham did their best to get me in room by 12:30. Great that I could store my bag….. & loved having shuttle to airport.

Check in was horrible had 2 people working the check in area and check in line was long, went to use the elevator and it wasn't working finally after about 2 times asked a maintenance guy about it and he said we needed to use our hotel key to use the elevator which the check service didn't tell us about just an inconvenience to be going back and forth

Our stay was good. We had a room with a view and it was beautiful!

Pros:
Good views if you like cruise ships and looking out over water, but you have to get a room on a higher floor for this to be a pro. (We were moved to the 11th floor upon request.)
Location is a positive if you are trying to be right on the bay.
Shower had good water pressure and warm water.
Upon our request, the front desk gave us a different room and provided clean bedsheets.
Cons:
Pictures online (meaning Hotels.com) are deceiving. These are 2-star rooms at 4-star prices, rooms are very basic and dated. I would suggest checking the cleanliness upon arrival, especially the bedsheets. If you selected the bay view, check the view because if you are on a lower floor the view may be obstructed, like ours was in our originally assigned 2nd floor room (it also depends in which tower your room is located, we ended up in Tower 3).
There is a $39-50 parking fee per night that was not disclosed ahead of time. Just a heads up.
If you are staying in the tower with the front desk lobby, the lower floors have a lot of outside street/business light flooding the room. The higher the floor you can get on the better.
The bathroom did not have a fan, had dirt stuck in the floor corners, and a light fixture was coming out of place. The upkeep of these rooms was very minimal considering the price tag.
For our tower, the smoking area is near the entry.
Overall, these are 2-star rooms and the 4-star price is because of the location, not the quality of the room itself.

Juliana at the front desk is amazing. Very friendly and helpful.

Nice area. Clean hotel room. Comfortable. Close to water and eateries. Close to airport as well so you can see the airplanes coming in and out, which is cool. Hotel is a bit dated but the view is amazing. Would stay here again but upgrade to the water-view. Sitting on the balcony was relaxing either way, looking over the city.

The hotel was very clean, just older and needing some updating. The check in process was frustrating, as we were hoping for an early check in due to plans, and they said to call when you were out and see if the room was ready and when we called, they said we had to come back in to check. They didn't seem to do any early check ins because there was a large line then you had to wait in and they only had 2 people working. They were very nice and accommodating but it was just slow and wasted some good time we could have spent doing fun things. The view definitely was perfect and well worth it!

It was a great stay.

Upon check in, room was not available, I was told that they would store luggage - did not pay $400 a night for a storage unit. Despite luxury name-brand, an incredibly basic hotel, with little to no amenities. Slow wifi, room temperature controls that did not work - resulting in a drafty room the entire stay. Bathtub consistently clogged, preventing effective use of the shower and bathroom.

Enjoy stay, just across the street from cruise line ships vary convenient

Great place to stay before a cruise, or anytime really! Ease of access to get from airport (with shuttle) and walking distance to cruise terminal. Beds were comfy, and loved the balcony overlooking the bay.

We loved the location. Took a cruise which embarked across the street. Loved the airport pickup. Close for walking to Little Italy and many breweries. Right on the waterfront with many attractions. Room was nice with, at least from our room, great views of the bay etc.several restaurants located on the property.

Waited after cruise from 9:30 am till 4:30 pm to check in room. We were staying 2 nights and assured we would not have to change rooms for 2nd night due to maintenance ( this was on Easter Day) they were very short staffed the day before and what maintenance was going to be done on Easter. We were told we were being moved to a main floor room in another tower until I asked why we were being downgraded with
A room with no view or balcony? There were no cruise ships so the hotel couldn't have been booked up.
After relooking she found us a better room on the ocean view 11th floor.
The luggage man was wonderful and very helpful.
A storm had hit with wind and rain and flood warnings and made walking around impossible. This was no fault of the hotel but some courtesy coffee in the waiting area would have been nice.
Having no car we didn't get to go to church. The hotel definitely needs to be upgraded. For what we paid I expected more.

Loved our room on the 14th floor. Wonderful view.

Stayed for 4 nights at this property. First night - our room was not clean so we requested to get moved to another room. Second night in new room - bathroom door wasn't closing - there was an issue with the carpeting around the door. So we moved again. Finally, the last two nights were spent without many issues (apart from the not so clean carpets) as we got moved to a suite.
Overall, not a great experience as I had my 2 toddlers with me. The good parts about the stay were the location (awesome Bayside view, good restaurants across the street, great/safe area for walking or biking), and willingness of the reception staff to move us to a better room.

The hotel staff at the Wyndham San Diego were great. Very helpful. The room was nice and comfortable. My only complaint is the pillows were very uncomfortable ! No support at all ! The location was good lots of restaurants around .

The first room they gave us was dirty and the paint was chipping all over. The front desk staff was very accommodating and changed our room. That room was perfect. My kids loved the view.

The hotel staff are clueless. I found myself asking 3-4 different people for directions within the hotel, and only the final staff person walked me to my room. Also, the showers were not cleaned between the previous guest’s stay and ours. Absolutely disgusting.

Very, very noisy! Room decor dated and worn. Not very clean either. It’s a “no” from me for any future stays.

Amazing view

Great location with a great view of the bay and good dining options, but despite the fact that it was 8:30 pm, our room wasn't ready and we had to get a different room. Also, the airport shuttle doesn't start until 6:00 am, so if you have an early flight, you have to take (and pay) for a taxi.

We stayed for a couple days before our cruise. Let me first say, this is a great location to stay, no matter if you're catching a cruise or not. The hotel is clean and efficient. The room was nice, clean but there were issues with the amenities. The safe buttons didn't work and the outlets for connectung electronics also didn't work. Other than that, we had a nice stay.

This hotel is rundown. The curtains on the patio door had a huge rip on it! And the heat did not work. We were there during a rainy spring weekend, when the temps were in the low fifties. No matter how long me we ran the loud heater, it never got warm. We were miserably cold. It didn’t help to hear the planes overhead either.

Very nice central location. Extremely busy since it’s directly across the street from the port.

Solid hotel, great spot close to the ocean, lots of food places near, rooms are nice and clean, very accommodating and pet friendly

We check in Wednesday and expected our room to be clean on Thursday and no one never came .i had to call to ask for toilet paper more towels and our trash taken out at night time ,there was 3 of us in the room with only one roll of toilet paper, then Friday came around and the house keeper lady came while my husband wash showering and I ask her that we needed our room clean no one came yesterday and she said ok I'll send someone at 5 since he was in the shower I said great,so we strep out for dinner came back at 8pm and nothing room was never clean ,we had a pile of towels in restroom do to no one coming out bed sheets were never change our whole 3 days .we once again had to ask a housekeeper on the floor Friday night for a roll of toilet paper cus there was none.we always stay at this hotel because we love the view the convenience of everything near and the parking is great and secure.but this stay was so suppose to be special we got married Thursday and choose your hotel as our special moment and it was far from that with having to ask for assistance in what we need instead of our room being taken care of for us.hopefully if we do decide to stay there again we have a better experience

Location is fantastic for what we were looking for. Just wish the chi in the room had been more comfortable and the there had been 2 of them! Closet in the bathroom was not very convenient.

The beds were some of the best beds I have ever slept on, seriously!
Even took a photo of the label on the mattress to try and find something similar to purchase for Home. It was that good.
Paying extra for the full Waterview was a good decision.
Having an actual balcony that you can go out on and enjoy that view also a big factor in us picking that particular hotel and location.
I did find that the room was a bit dusty and several areas did not appear to have been cleaned in the bathroom.
In this post Covid era I still disinfect all surfaces myself, so it wasn’t a large issue, but it should’ve been done more carefully by the cleaners.
The other thing that I found irritating and ridiculous, was having to pay to park the car in their garage. For what you’re paying for the room come on that should be included.
That was a bit disappointing at that price point but overall I would stay there again.
