The check in which was guaranteed by 4 pm was late. There were police at the check in counter and chaos when I arrived. Then they gave me my room after 4 pm. I was not impressed.

While the hotel was very beautiful and service was excellent, we were very disappointed with the lack of beach access due to a restoration project. We received emails staying it should be complete prior to our visit, then right before our visit the message changed to "unless delays occur". We arrived to find several loud cranes and bulldozers working non stop, and were THEN told we'd have to be shuttled over to a different area to access the beach, which defeated being able to use the pool and bar/grille area. Then on Monday, we were told the pool's bar & grille would be closed the rest of the week, due to replacing a canopy/awning over the area. Had communication been less vague and more specific, we would have booked elsewhere for this trip. My husband politely mentioned this when asked about our stay at check out, but no solution or compensation was offered. Let me say that I'm sure this property COULD have been wonderful. Maybe had they offered to waive the mandatory $36+ tip nightly parking charge or the $22 nightly resort fee, to help ease the inconveniences???? We were definitely not the only unhappy guests that week. We understand about storm damage, but don't imply that the situation will be resolved by arrival when some of your pool staff is telling us it could take another couple of months. We traveled 11 hrs and spent a lot of money, to leave with a bad taste in our mouths.

It was disappointing to arrive and find we could not access the beach due to dredging. However, they did supply transportation to the public beach. The pool is lovely and very family friendly hotel. Frankie and Corrine were so friendly and provided exceptional service. Staff was accommodating!! Complimentary breakfast was good and offered freshly made omelette each morning. Definitely use the bus into town from the hotel! Very convenient.

Clean not the issue. Got email 1hour before advising beach closed for renovation. What's worse it was our only day there (next morn leaving by late morning). Got to pool in morn… renovating pool area too) Asked for late chk-out, gave us 1/2 hour. Staff could care less and left pissed. They still had the nerve to charge a resort fee & mandatory valet😡 Ripped off!

Our stay was perfect, we stayed 2 nights and had a fabulous time. The breakfast was enormous, and the in house restaurant was yummy, great for night in at the hotel.

Very expensive. Hotel only has one elevator and a loooong walk to get to our room. Bar in lobby not open until 4pm, no bar food available during day unless you go out by pool which is another looong walk. Happy hour reception is veggies, dip, goldfish, and trail mix. Expected more for $500/night. Free breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. Restaurant opens at 4pm and food was good but pricey. Room was nice. Pool loaded with kids. Sitting area outside and in lobby excellent. For the money I will be finding somewhere else to stay.

Hotel was beautiful and I plan on staying again for sure. Loved the location. The outdoor area is beautiful. Breakfast was exceptional. Loved the nightly entertainment. Pool area was lovely. Beach front had construction happening but it was still beautiful to look at. Only drawback was that I found the smell in the hallways overwhelming. I am not sure what it was- perhaps deodorizer for the carpets as it is a pet friendly hotel. But it was strong.
