The front desk staff was awesome. A few things need to be looked at. The TV reception was sometimes terrible. The outside window was filthy. Housekeeping removed the card from the wall which turned off the fridge, so I had melted ice and warm drinks. The bathroom is a bad design. There is no counter space. If you need to sit on the toilet you need to sit diagonally as the toilet paper roll is in the way. The flush is ineffective. They don't do any recycling. When I asked about it they informed me everything goes in the garbage. Besides these few things everything was excellent.

We had a show to attend at the Palais so for convenience, walk to dinner and walk to and from the show, you can’t beat the hotel.

Communication leading up to the stay was on point and all myqueries were responded to quickly. They require a $150 holding deposit which is higher than anywhere i have stayed in melbourne before and there was no communication for that until youre walking in the door and its the first thing you are greeted with. In room - the couch was dirty, no stained or general wear and tear but dirty. White pants no to white after sitting on it. And the floor although vaccummed left the soles of yoir feet brown and dirty, table was wonky and the chairs were broken not put back together property and creeked and groned. Bed comfy as ever so comfortable. Shower and bathroom decent size. Water pressure excellent

Neat and clean

We were in a room that faced the tram tracks and the entire buikding shajes everytime a tram goes by. Made it impossible to sleep.

Hi, we loved the Cosmopolitan hotel because of its position in busy Saint Kilda near Acland Street. The tram stop was just a minute away and the dining, theatres and bars were also very close. It was quiet, comfortable, clean and safe.

The toilet in our room didn't work properly, so we were moved to another room. The area (Carlisle Street) is very noisy until the early hours of the morning. This was all clearly audible from the room we were in.

Staff were wonderful, rooms recently updated .. very clean and tidy. 2 min walk to st kilda beach and luna park. my son and i had an amazing time.

There was parking available without having to pay, was appreciated

The step into the bathroom. If you are not fully aware of it you trip up it. Apart from that the stay was amazing.

Good value for money. The building is a little old and there is some noise from the nearby tram - but the location is excellent, the staff were great and the room was clean. Will likely stay again on my next trip to Melbourne.

The hotel was ok a little run down, but still very clean, neat & tidy. The location was fabulous close the the theatre and cafes. there was plenty of room to park our Ford Ranger more places are a really tight fit but not here, heaps of room. The only down fall was the noise our rom face the front street and the trams and traffic was very very loud all night, we didn't get much sleep, maybe ask for a room at the back on the hotel if you want a good night sleep. Otherwise everything else was great.

We were very close to the Palais Theatre which is where we were going to see a show, perfect!

This property is very conveniently located to Luna Park and the Palais Theatre with plenty of dining options also very close by.

Well priced clean and great location

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel and the first 2 were okay. However the room we had this time was really, really noisy. It was very difficult to sleep until the trams stopped running. Also the room was not serviced on the middle day of our stay. This time the check-in staff member was also pretty ordinary so we probably wont be back.

Close to our event, dinning and public transport to the city.

Bed was uncomfortable, hot water was hard to regulate in the shower

Kind and helpful staff, good location for a good price, Queen room was nice and spacious, clean bathroom. Only complaint is that there was a large 1inch gap under the room door that lets alot of cold air in at night. Private parking is a bit pricey, but was able to leave my car in one of the free parks and just tram/bus everywhere.
