I really enjoyed my stay at the Sun Downer hotel. The staff was very courteous and professional in all my conversations with them. The room was very comfortable, large and I felt like I was at home! I am sharing this with all my friends, family, and business Partners. I highly recommend anyone going to a Sequim Washington that they stay at this hotel.

Friendly support from the Sundowner Motel management - seems to be a family-run business. Fantastic location as a stopping-off point to hikes in the Olympic Peninsula nearish Seattle, and also very convenient (walking distance) to Sequim town center restaurants, cafes, etc. Older property, but with new furnishings and rate was excellent value-for-money. Would stay again.

Was originally assigned to a room that was not cleaned.
Then the sound proof of new room was terrible.
Couldn’t get a good sleep.

It's always very clean. I love that they have rooms they do not let pets in. My husband is terribly allergic and it can make traveling hard. But now we have a wonderful hotel near my cousin's where he can sleep in peace.

I absolutely love this place. It is conveniently located. The mattress was wonderful. There were enough covers without having to turn on the heat. It was clean and very well appointed. The staff let me check in early and even upgraded my room for free. I will be back!

Clean room, but uncomfortable bed and thin towels. Room was small and somewhat dated. It looked like the room was partially updated, but the bathroom needed some help. Too many people smoking outside and smoking marijuana which we could smell in our room (other rooms may not have been impacted). I felt room was reasonably priced and check in process was good.

Overall, this was a great motel. I was very pleasantly surprised. Maybe it was the type of room I booked, but mine had a full kitchen!! Knocking off a star though because the bathtub was very slow draining and had hair in it. Also the toilet was a bit odd...you sometimes had to flush it twice to get it to go down. But otherwise, everything was clean and felt very safe for a solo female.

This was a great find. While it was kind of a 50s style roadside motel, it was fully updated with the electrical, electronic and wifi amenities that today's travelers require. All was super clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and personable. We would stay here again.

This is a great hotel for the price! The service is excellent, the room was mostly very clean, just something had been spilled in the back of the shower curtain.
Comfortable bed and pillows and within walking distance of many eating places.

Check in was easy and they even opened up the office for us since we arrived a little bit early. The room was very clean and enough amenities are provided. It is an older motel, but you can tell they're trying to improve it. It is located on the main drag of Sequim, but we didn't hear any road noise and the parking is easy and brightly lit at night so no worries about something happening to your vehicle. The rates are reasonable, and we would happily stay there again.

My only issue is that the wi-fi didn't work all weekend. But not a huge deal. I still booked the next weekend in town at your hotel.

We stayed at the Sundowner during a late August trip to Olympic NP. Accommodations were difficult to find, which is how we ended up here. At $200 a night, this place was insanely overpriced. The rooms are very plain with outdated furniture and appliances. The floors feel dirty, the walls and bathroom feel old and grimey, and in the end I'd be willing to pay $30/night for a place of this quality. It's fine for one night if its the only option you've got, but if you have ANY other options stay there instead.

4/5 — Pros it’s in a convenient area, it felt safe enough (solo female traveler), but it’s nothing “Instagramable” lol… If you’re looking for an affordable, no-frills hotel with free parking this is a good option.

When I arrived, nobody in the office. I had to call to get someone at the front desk. The bathroom was dirty. The door had nasty stuff splattered all over - blood, poop, ???? Floor was dirty and tub had a light dirt ring around the inside. The airconditioner made a horrible loud sound. Shampoo was given, but no conditioner.

The bed was hard, but we like soft fluffy beds. Otherwise this place was ok for a motel. We wouldn't stay here again since the bed made it hard to sleep. The 101 dinner next door has a great breakfast.

Very friendly staff. Checkin gave us a nicer room with a kitchen. Looks like they are working very hard to upgrade this older property. Freshly painted, clean parking lot, & thoughtful details like well tended beautiful hanging baskets. We will stay here again.

The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful to us. On the day we checked out we had a very late flight. The motel let us store our luggage there as we did not want carry it with us all day. Also, the property was conveniently located to the Hurricane Ridge area of Olympic National Park.

Quiet location with very comfortable beds. A place that gives plenty of pillows and the internet was very reliable. Cable TV was amazing, great selection of channels. Rooms were very clean. Only thumbs down is the bathroom is a little small, and the toilets are small felt like a child sitting on the toilet.
