Very good location, facilities, and service

First negative experience in Dormy Inn ever, and I've stayed in a lot of them. Despite asking for a quiet room I was given the room closest to the elevator, on the lowest (2nd) floor, and the window was almost fully tinted because it was facing a wall and A/Cs. Not at all like the description & not worth the money for such a room. Maybe because I'm a foreigner I was given the worst room in the hotel -- if so that's no excuse... Very close to the station & restaurants, so location is good, but maybe pick another hotel if you fancy a window.

I highly recommend this hotel. It's just a few minutes walk from the station on a quiet street. The staff are very friendly. We did the onsen and the nightly ramen which were bonuses(there's even a treat after the onsen). The rooom was clean and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. I can't find fault with this hotel.

Good location

I've stayed in various Dormy Inn locations and i'm comfortable with their standard and prices. They have the best locations like near train stations. This specific location is also near the train station. However, the streets were kind'a designed to be confusing as the blocks are diagonals. At first , you might turn at a wrong street. In any case, the hotel is just walking distance even until the Nagano castle. i'd highly recommend it and will stay again. There's also an onsen in the hotel itself.there were some freebies, like yakult and ice popsicles, every night which i unfortunately discovered the day after. There were 2 massage chairs on the same floor of the onsen. This then made it my favorite Dormy Inn branch. There were also many mangas which you can read at this recreation floor. Breakfast was good and filling as they serve local Nagano dishes. You don't need to try hard to find local restaurants to eat these. I had a list of local dishes and fortunately , i was able to tick them off. (except, of course, sake) . There's also unlimited coffee , tea , ice at the lobby. There was just 1 staff who was annoying , though she probably thought that she was concerned. i was using the toilet at the lobby and she kept banging on the door. After the third time , only then she asked if I was ok. she could've asked the first time when i replied on her knock !

Evenings was great. Definitely recommend to my friends. Best location with great spa. Latest massager is free to use. Washer is free to use. Dryer is 100 yen per 20 min, but its a gas dryer, not electric, like most of the other business hotels, so cloths dry quickly. Free drinks or ice bars availabe after using the hot spring.
