It was a weekend to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. To surprise my partner I asked for extra's in the room, ie, room dressed for the occasion, including, roses and wine which was very reasonably priced. The room looked absolutely fantastic, with beautiful long stemmed red roses and a quality wine. I will never forget the overwhelming excitment on my partner's face when she opened our hotel room door. THANK YOU so much for making our stay so special.

The hotel is your typical large chain hotel with lots off cruises, tours and conferences staying there. However, the location was awesome especially if your are taking the underground to the airport. Walking distance to museums. Concierge desk was so helpful.

Sticky black stuff on the carpet. Breakfast costs far too much for what we got - do eat somewhere else. I will not book this hotel again.

Overall average. Great location. VERY FRIENDLY staff. But little details that makes me think that 4* is a little bit over rated…. No shampoo/body wash when we arrived, air con poorly working.. rooms need renovation especially the bathroom…one morning no black tea at the breakfast buffet and since other customers complained, they hade to get some…as I said, little details but for the price paid for 3 nights for a triple room I’m not sur I’ll consider that hotel for my next trip to London….

Check-In: Friendly and efficient.
Room: Got upgraded to a family room which is great as room was spacious. However no toiletries or tissues! Had to ask for them but only tissue box was provided. Maybe eco-toiletries means no toiletries. A hiccup that reduces this rating by 1 star!
Breakfast : Value for money with lots of varieties to choose from.
Location: So so convenient. Just next to Gloucester Road station and quite a number of shops around the place including Tesco and Waitrose.

Hotel's housekeeping standards needs to be improved. we booked 4 rooms in total for 6 nights. Some rooms were missing their tissue boxes and shower gel not replenised. Although some refurb was done, the state of the bathroom door was terrible and old. My room 504 had a low water pressure. Staff couldn't confirm my paying late checkout for departure although we had a confrmation. After 15 hours on the plane, we were stuck at the reception for almost half hour. Still the staff could not sort this out. I was mad as i made an extra night booking due to a late flight as i have a bad back. All the staff could say is to check again on my day of departure for the late checkout.

The location is great, next to 3 metro lines. There are 2 grocery stores, many food outlets and all the necessary services for the traveler. The hotel is comfortable enough but starting to show its age. The HVAC needs modernization. It's a good value for the price

Rooms are spacious and tvs are big which helps.
All showers seem to be inside baths which I do not like. Overall it’s a decent hotel in a great location. Could do with updating and some modernisation in places. Need to read the details of its customers as there were offers linked to my room which it never honoured. This is not the first time this has happened at this property and I have stayed there frequently of late.

I travel quite frequently to London and struggle to find a quiet and relaxing hotel. This hotel provides just that. Plus it’s not far from Hyde Park if you fancy a little run!!

This hotel is older, and it shows. It felt too dingy and dated. I would prefer to stay in a more modern hotel in general.

Have stayed here many times as so well located for work in London but they seem to be having problems with their computer systems. Check in is painfully slow. They never seem to know whether you have been there before or not. They dis not off the upgrade I was entitled to or the 20% off food and drink. The room we were allocated was definitely not a deluxe king. It was comfortable enough but very tired and the bathroom was a disgrace with chipped filthy floor tiles and other peoples long dark hairs. Revolting. I would think twice about staying again.

Hotel is great, except is old, main door has nobody to help with the luggage when we arrived, condor the main extrance doors till only one door can be used, paid for the rented umbrella was not able to retrieve, front desk has no one and even one was available was not able to help that he has to find someone to assist us and it took sometime for us to wait for the person.

I do not know if all European hotels are this way but outside is quite cold and our room was very hot. AC does not work and window barely opens which makes for a not so enjoyable night. The breakwast was good and the hotel was clean.

We got up headed to club, but found the room much smaller then the room we had before, bathroom looking very tired
Had a good night sleep, air on worked well.
Could do with some body lotion in there.
Breakfast could not fault at all. Drinks in Humphreys bar was nice. Overall a good stay, just very dated and tired

I was not impressed with this hotel since we entered the room, there was a smell of cigarette smell which had come out of one of the draws that had been left and not cleaned with cigarette ends in a glass.

Disappointing stay. It took 20-30mins for the host to greet me and let me into the property. The property is nice, with comfy beds and clean interior but there is some damage that needs to be fixed (eg. broken chest of drawers) and badly scuffed walls. No towels or toilet roll was in the property upon arrival and it took a long time to subsequently get towels the second day of my stay. The dishwasher was full of (clean) cutlery and crockery. For the price point, this was not good value for money.

It seems to be becoming a habit with Expedia/Hotels.com bookings paid up front. The first room offloaded is well below par...then when I complain i get the room I deserved all along. So if you are visiting this hotel,.dont put up with the room that smells like cigar smoke in the wardrobe or has cigarette burns in the sofa. Insist on a change like i did and get a room that looks and smells clean and have a very comfortable stay.

Deluxe room had not been cleaned properly and very poor condition. Not deluxe. When I addressed at reception they wanted to charge me £50 to upgrade. I argued the point and they did it for free. My silk nightshirt had been left in the first room. When I asked to retrieve it, they said it was not there.

Plus - allowed me to check in early - great room - easy to access and close to everything I needed
Negatives - my television wasn't working and neither was my phone. I had to continually go down to reception (because the phone doesn't work). After 45 minutes a serviceman came and fixed my television - phone could not be fixed - so no phone at all. A shame because I would've used room service.
Except for these two issues (and next time I will check immediately upon arriving at the room), I was very happy with my stay.

Excellent location for getting round London, great area for walking. Hotel staff are very friendly and efficient and the room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

We stayed one night at this hotel. The location is great, easy access to public transport, the staff were very nice and helpful, the room was exactly what we needed, clean, quiet, comfortable beds. So we were very happy with our choice. I will book this hotel again.

Lovely hotel, room spacious and bed comfortable. Only down side there seemed to be the lingering smell of stale cigarettes which wasn’t pleasant and no full length mirror.
