Location was good near the town La Fortuna. Unfortunately there were worms in the room

This was are first time to Costa Rica and it was a beautiful place to stay! Was very safe and the staff was excellent with everything we needed.

Was looking for something that was abit remote but not too far from the center of La Fortuna. Arenal Country Inn did not dissapoint. Roughly 5-10 minutes walk and you're there. I really enjoyed my stay, most of the staff know some english and are very friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean and the jungle really felt like it was outside the window. While I personally appriciate the brids and cicadas, for those who likes silence you might want to bring some earplugs. Air condition worked fine and a small fridge was usefull for some smaller things. Only thing I really can complain about is the lack of a bottle opener :)

This stay was an unexpected highlight of the trip. While only a 5 min drive/15 min walk from the heart of La Fortuna, the gated grounds feel miles away from the congestion of the city center. Strolling the lushly landscaped common areas planted with palms and giant orchids feels like exploring a botanical garden. Guestrooms are breezy but also feel super secure. The staff is friendly, the breakfast hearty, and the pool large enough for laps. They have a relationship with a neighboring restaurant that offers excellent, Costa Rican dishes and is also well worth checking out for dinner. Would definitely stay here again!

Very helpful and friendly staff. We needed to leave early and hotel gave us a breakfast package. Fridge was very old and there were some worms on the floor. This hotel is a little far from city and difficult to walk to hotel at nights

This place is extremely well maintained. The grounds are large and well treed. It is close to El Salto and not far from town. Everything about our stay was great. I will be my only choice in La Fortuna in the future.

There was plenty of privacy. The rooms were comfortable and clean - and also air-conditioned, which, in Costa Rica, if you're unaware, is a big plus. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice stay in Apr. 23. The property has beautiful territory, recessed from the road. Stay is in cute bungalos with individual entrances oer room - nice privacy. Jackie at the front desk was super helpful, offered me take away breakfast because i had to leave before the ofgicial breakfast time. Room has AC and refrigerator. Located is just a short walj to downtown La Fortuna, supermarket and 2 restaurants are just couple of minutes walk. Area is safe. Pool is beatiful and large.

We stayed for 2 nights and love it...Beautiful place!! the room was clean with a lot of space, the bathroom was new, the breakfast is small but perfect, my kids enjoy the pool after a long day of walking in the Volcano.

This is my fourth time to Arenal & I love the atmosphere & feel very safe & welcome. Vanessa, owner and her sister, Adriana are always so welcoming & eager to please & help me with whatever I need!

The staff was wonderful, we couldn’t get a cab,the women working took us to town herself. So sweet!!!! Everyone is so special. Love the place

This is a basic economic property. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast included. Overall this is a good value for this high demand area of La Fortuna.

Lovely quiet hotel in the bustle of Fortuna, pool was great, grounds well kept and staff helpful

We arrived later during the day and the hotel was waiting for us. That was nice. We had a room with its own entry and parking just next to the pool. We enjoyed the pool a lot as well as the breakfast area which had a pool table. Breakfast is minimal but ok. The environment is really beautiful. A lot of flowers and plants.

Our shoes and raincoats were STOLEN from our porch while we were asleep!!! The manager didn’t do anything to help us even though there are cameras. This place is not the nicest place, it has a rustic villa feel but it’s not an amazing comfortable place. The staff tried to be helpful but mostly spoke Spanish. They tried to be accommodating. Also a plus was the AC worked well and the pool was nice. Best to spend a bit more and stay somewhere more trustworthy.

The property is very well kept. Adriana is very friendly and responsive. I had a great stay.

We enjoyed the spacious rooms and the central location: a few minutes walking to La Fortuna downtown with plenty of dining options, and a short driving distance to many major attractions. The staff was super friendly and helpful (although not everyone was speaking English). The hotel serves a complimentary filing Costa Rican style breakfast and the pool was nice and clean. The main drawbacks were the nearby road noise and the adjacent rooms sound isolation (we could hear our neighbors while inside our room). Also, there was no functioning hot tub or a hot pool like some other hotels in the area. Overall, if you don't expect a secluded resort like feel, you would find a nice and clean affordable central hotel for exploring the area while staying within a walking distance from La Fortuna downtown.

This hotel is the perfect option for families or people looking for a great hotel for a fair price. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the hotel is near downtown. Adriana the manager is an amazing ambassador, super helpful with tours and everything you need basically. The breakfast served each morning is very complete and delicious. I absolutely recommend this hotel and if I return to La Fortuna I will no doubt to stay there again!

We loved staying here! 4 adults and 5 kids in two rooms next to each other. It was perfect for our big family. We loved the rooms one with a queen bed and two single beds for kids and one with a queen bed and one trundle bed for two kids and a single bed for 3rd kid. Kids went swimming. We ate dinner next door at Tiquicia recommended by the hotel and it was delicious! It was a great price for a cabin feel. We listened to and watched the rain poor down. Cousins hung out on the porch.

Beautiful hotel with a great view of the volcano from the pool. The staff was very friendly. Adriana was very helpful assisting with dinner and activity recommendations.

We really enjoyed our time at the Arenal Country Inn. The property is located ~2 km from La Fortuna town centre, and can be walked as it is quite flat with sidewalks. Easy check in, comfortable room (on the small side) with two very comfy beds, small fridge, table and two chairs and bathroom with a large shower. Ample hot water. Outside is a bench and porch light for sitting outside and listening to the birds. The pool was the perfect temperature and clean. Breakfast was delicious and served in a historical, covered cattle pen (sounds kooky but it was lovely). We enjoyed our time and would recommend to anyone hitting La Fortuna!
