Great location, around really cool bars beautiful views I’m in heaven here, right before the seven mile Bridge walking distance to food, I would advise renting a car because you definitely need to travel south of here, 25 miles to key west and return back here or just stay in key west, we saw man of wars,shark, manatees, a little boy that caught 2 puffer fish, walked on the 7 mile bridge, walked 15000 steps today, great exercise, I’m in love with this area

Short and nice stay!

Honest review. The place was fine. A little rough around the edges. Meaning, the coffee table in the living room area was about to fall over and the headboard on the bed was loose. The place just needs a handyperson to go around and tighten stuff up. Place was clean. Fridge was good. Stove was great. Really no complaints at all maybe just bring your screwdriver ;). Price was right the view was nice and there is a lot of stuff to do that I didn't take advantage of meaning the boating, kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling. If you want some watery adventure I'd definitely keep this on my list. I'd defintely consider staying here again... I'd just pack a screwdriver ;).

The apartments are in small, colorfull houses which makes a beautiful atmosphere. You can rent bikes, boats and kayaks. It‘s a short walk to the seven mile bridge. You can use bbq grills just outside of the House. Some renovations and utensils for cleaning dishes would make it perfect. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend!

Cute place. Able to walk to dinner, miniature golf and breakfast. Nice firm mattress too!

The neighborhood was very seedy. The bed was very comfortable. Could be a very cute apartment but needs updating. Little details overlooked, like no light in refrigerator, door to apartment is very difficult to open.

We had a room without a balcony but many lovely places to sit outside by the docks. The room was very clean. We would stay again. If you are into walking/biking - you can go to Pigeon Key on the old 7 mile bridge (it is 2 miles to Pigeon Key on this bridge)

We have stayed at capt pips before but not in this particular room……Loggerhead….the ceilings are very low and the room is very dark….. so dark we had every light burning day and night….we had no hot water the first night and the toilet was filling with hot water!….The ceiling was leaking and a huge puddle was on the floor . Our other rooms we have rented were not like this at all and we were dissapointed. All problems were dealt with and we still enjoyed our stay simply because love the location and we are not picky. This room was nothing like the other room we rented previously even though it was advertised the same

Cute accommodations, clean and comfy. The pool and dock areas were smaller than anticipated, but we did most of our activities elsewhere. The room was missing a few items (shampoo, conditioner, stir sticks for the coffee). We asked the front desk for these items but never received them. Overall decent stay. Would definitely recommend if you need a comfortable place to hang out without needing too many amenities.

We stayed here for a week in one of the apartments. We did this to cook and save money on meals. However. Knives were all dull with no way to sharpen them. For being a fishing place a suggestion would be to have a fish filet knife in the rooms. The sprayer in the sink doesn’t work. Gas ran out in grill after 1 use. It would also be helpful if the chains on the fans for the lights were longer so you can leave the fan on but turn off the light without having to stand on a share to do so. More than that was the dirt on the floor. Walking around barefoot inside your feet are black. Additionally they had a crew painting all the buildings. While I understand this needs to be done we were constantly in there way as we came and went. Also we were sick during our stay and staying in and they were drilling shutters on all day that made it hard to sleep. We had a balcony but unfortunately could not leave it open or windows due to the smell. A few guests took it upon ourselves to clean the pool so we could go in early on in the trip. The snorkeling trip out of there was really good though. Crew was professional and helpful. I know others that have stayed and been fine with the place, but for us we probably wouldn’t stay there again.

We stayed here for one night due to availibility. We had a lovely sized and well equipped apartment on the beach. There is the added convenience of Porky's restaurant next door. Jet Skis and Snorkelling trips available too so all in all, a good stay.

It's my second stay here & I stayed in Great White. It's newly refurbished. I love it. It still has the old Florida feel but everything has been updated. It's beautiful. Plus a back deck to watch the water.

The staff was excellent. Cons The property is worn. It needs many updates. The dining furniture was broken and the table was over an inch off-kilter. All the furniture was very worn. The shower curtain was torn in two places. The toilet was stained a dark brown at the bottom. One of the electric sockets was coming out of the wall. Pro: the bed and bedding were comfortable.

WONDERFUL PLACE WITH A FULL KITCHEN . EASY DRIVE IN TO KEY WEST (45 MILES) AND FOR HALF THE PRICE OF A ROOM IN KEY WEST . BUDGET PEOPLE WAKE UP .. MARATHON IS A BETTER DEAL THAN HIGH GROSS KEY WEST AND CAP'T PIPS IS THE PERFECT OPTION !

Right on the water. Nice views. The pool was small but nice. No shampoo/conditioner in room but our king bed was very comfortable!!

This property was perfect! Quiet, peaceful and we will definitely be back! The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The Assistant Manager Penny is amazing. Staff is friendly. Property is well kept and in process of being upgraded with many improvements. Recommend Highly.

This Resort is perfectly managed, and the employees have a sense of family pride in everything they do. There is not a better place to stay in Marathon!

Just an over night sleep. Local 48yr resident in KW. Saw Rocky Horror Picture Show @ Marathon Community Theater. Sunday matinee which starts @ 3pm, and the theater wants you there at 2pm. Pleased with the show & I’m very pleased with the hotel. The price was fantastic, and I wish we could’ve stayed another day to enjoy the amenities we paid for. The hotel was well informed of our situation. One of us was coming from Ft. Lauderdale , and I from KW to both meet at Captain Pipps. There was no time for use of the amenities. I disagree with the charge if they know you have no time, and a 10am check out. You also only get a 10 hour stay with check in being @ 3pm check out at 10am. We will return !!
