Good location although it would be helpful if website gave clearer direction (cross streets) to hotel and distances from sites. Near many restaurants. Complimentary breakfast was just ok.

Excellent, friendly and clean. Location is a plus, walking distance to theaters

Nice hotel. Breakfast is busy. Lobby and bar doesnt welcoming to stay.

We were completely delighted by this hotel in every way for our family vacation.

The parking is a problem for us. Having to walk 3 blocks to park our car is not something I had intended. And apparently if we had our ticket validated we would have gotten discounted but I was never told this. Won’t be staying here again. The eggs and toast I had are not worth the aggravation of arrival and departure.

We loved our 9 day stay at the Riu Plaza Hotel Times Square!!

Booked a few days before trip, seeing that I could adjust the stay by 3/16/24. The morning of 3/16 I wanted to switch to 2 rooms instead of family suite, but when I called hotels.com they said I couldn’t make changes because 12:01 AM was the cutoff. That was extremely aggravating, but I just left it as the family suite. That time was really misleading! When we arrived the room was tiny, not big enough for a family of 5 people.(only 1 night was for 5) The double beds were pushed up next to each other touching and the couch was right next to that. There was nowhere to walk or move around the room. We ended up splitting up and adding another room, so we ended up paying way more than if we had just got 2 rooms. We also over paid because it was less if we had booked directly through the hotel. That 3rd night I think it was almost $800 total….not worth it for what we got. We didn’t make use of the breakfast. The front desk people were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Each time I called hotels.com or hotel directly people were unhelpful and not friendly. Some of their English was also not good and they didn’t seem to understand what I was asking them. It made our stay in NYC very stressful and frustrating. I actually think we need to get reimbursed some of what we paid. We feel we were ripped off.

A little confused why my security deposit went through as a transaction and didn’t get refunded to me? They charge you for a security deposit then when you call they tell you the only way you can contact anyone is emailing them which apparently they never respond

I was given a WiFi code upon checking in. When I tried to use it the next morning at 5am it didn’t work. So I called down to front desk and they said to come down for a new code. I asked why they couldn’t give me one over the phone they said they needed my device. I stay in hotels over 100 nights per year on business and have done for the past 20 years. I’ve never been asked to bring my laptop to a hotel lobby to get a WiFi code. This was just lazy on behalf of the staff member.

We had an amazing stay. The hotel was gorgeous, clean and everything we could have asked for. The free breakfast buffet was a great added bonus. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was so kind and friendly. I had a king room and was upgraded to a suite free of charge. The room was clean and very spacious and the views from the floor to ceiling windows were great. I had such a relaxing and pleasant stay, I'll definitely be coming back.

Overall this was an ok stay. Check-in was quick and easy. The lobby was clean and inviting. Our room was not ready when we arrived since we were early but were able to leave our bags to tour the city. Disappointment set in when we got the room. When we walked in the room was freezing, the window was open. We immediately closed it got ready for our show. We noticed there was a smell of food in the room. Since we had a show to go to we stopped by the front desk to let them know. They offered to have housekeeping clean the room again. When we got back the room still smelled, a combination of smoke, food and paint(they are renovating), no wonder the window was left open. Another issue was that we needed additions towels. Called to have some delivered. We never received the towels.

Out stay was great. Excellent hotel, would stay again. Only one dislike. Please instruct cleaning staff not to knock ehen there is a do not disturb sign on guest door. Our dood was knocked on three times while having a do not dusturb sign. Ither than that, awesome hotel and staff.

Great location and accommodation, breakfast was a bit chaotic - very crowded, long lines. I would definitely stay again, maybe have breakfast very early or very late next time.

Great location. Most staff are friendly. No long wait for included breakfast. The only suggestion is to make sure plates and utensils are clean and dry. I couldn’t eat anymore when I picked up a plate that was wet and smelled like dirty sweat. That made me wonder if they did it intentionally to tell people to stop eating the included breakfast and for the hotel to save money.

The room was cold and I didn’t care for location

Proximity of Times square. Other than that, very tiny room, basic commodities, shower leeks to the room, noisy etc.

A lovely surprise recommended by a friend. The location is perfect for the tourists and convenient for business. There are more excellent restaurants in a two block walk than in many towns in America.

Love the staff! Friendly and helpful. Stayed here twice and the hotel is really nice. Though we weren’t in our room a lot it was small for the price and the bed was too firm for me.

The hotel is great location and rooms are small but clean and functional. The areas supported by staff are not too good. reception is slow, cafe area very slow. and security guards greet you when you come down in the elevator screaming at guests to get into line for breakfast. In their attempt to speed it up its a joke amd rude. This is a hotel hood for bed and get out.

Beautiful hotel! Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Everything was great. One issue - the breakfast buffet was great but it would have been helpful to have a tray to manage carrying food plates, flatware, napkins, and cups of hot coffee back to the table. (I didn't see any trays.)

It’s right in midtown which is nice. There was a giant inflatable rat outside when we left today. (If you’re not from NY, these are placed in front of businesses that use nonunion labor practices, employ scabs, or don’t pay a living wage.) So I might recommend researching if this is who you want to give your money to.

Breakfast buffet was great and so was the staff. Room was nice for what we paid and super close to Times Square. Would recommend!

The property and service were exceptional. However, the location next to Times Square was very congested and consequently stressful to navigate. Try using the backstreets 2 blocks west of the hotel to avoid the human traffic. The foreign patrons of the hotel were mostly rude and apathetic. As a result the complimentary breakfasts felt crowded and uncomfortable. I’d recommend that breakfasts be broken up by floors into designated hours to reduce the congestion. Also, an instructional video on how to operate the room key controlled elevators could be provided, in many languages for the patrons to view, before they try to get to their rooms. It was almost comical to see people newly arrived to the hotel trying to reach their rooms upon arriving as they are tired and weary from travel.
