The house is well decorated throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook there. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there. The reason that we didn’t check 5 stars is because of the lack of additional notes that we feel it needed to help guests to locate the unit and the designated parking spaces, especially after dusk. Secondly, a warning should be posted about the steep ramp from the street to the unit for guests with luggage, especially the ones with mobility issues. I have provided a private feedback to the owner about those points.

2 en suites, fishing off the back deck, paddling with kayaks, lunch at Island Cafe, bicycling along the river, close to downtown Portland and Vancouver and so much more! Also a very sweet infrared sauna on the deck! A bit of heaven on the water!

This was such a fun and unique property and location! Loved the decor of the boat house and the back deck was a sanctuary. We loved having our morning coffee watching the baby ducks swim by. The owner of the property was very responsive to any questions that came up. She goes above and beyond to ensure a top notch experience!

This gem of a rental was amazingly stocked with amenities. From high quality pans and cookware to seasonings, gourmet coffee and even a expresso machine. Beds were super comfy. We used the paddle boards and had a blast cruising around this river house neighborhood. My husband couldn't get enough of having his morning coffee and working on his laptop in the mornings on the patio to beautiful perfect weather. We couldn't have asked for more.

We had an awesome time at the Otter House. The home was perfectly stocked for a comfortable trip and we loved our stay. The host responded quickly and we were very much enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!!!

A change in the usual getaway!
Lots to see and do, with great restaurants nearby! An Otter dropped by for a visit on the deck! Would highly recommend or visit again the next time I’m in Portland!

We had a wonderful time in this floating home! I enjoyed soaking in the tub, my husband walked the docks and took many pictures. The kitchen was will stocked and the bedrooms very comfy. We will stay again!

We loved the unique experience of a floating home. The Otter House was clean with a cheerful vibe. The kitchen had a well stocked pantry and cookware, so if you want to eat in and enjoy the river views you can. I also did a load of laundry. Our beds were comfortable as well. I'd return again.

It is an amazing and unique experience for old and young alike. The kids (and parents) will be entertained by the entirely different experience right on the water. We saw Bald Eagles, Osprey and so many others. The flowers and beauty are all there to behold from your deck or living room. What a wonderful and great memorable time with my grown son made so special by Heidi.
We had a lost & found rental car issue and Heidi spent as long as it took to be sure I got it back. At one point going to the airport for hours. Amazing kindness and caring which followed through to every detail of our stay.
I am physically challenged and just had to very slowly go up and down the ramp to get to the rental. But It is so worth it. Thank you Heidi for taking care of every concern and going way above and beyond. I hope you expand your rentals--would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Heidi!

Everything from start to finish was amazing, we had an amazing time. Any questions we had were responded to rite away and with good instruction, definitely will be back here anytime were in Portland thanks again, it made are trip easy an memorable.

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute. Heidi has created such a wonderful home and experience, we didn’t want or need to leave the house & neighborhood. Highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again.

We came from Maryland and California to visit family in Portland. This place was awesome. So many special touches and everything you could need. We loved staying on the water and seeing the ducks and geese. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at the Otter House. It was the perfect type of comfort and quiet we were looking for during our trip to Portland.

The Otter House was amazing. The owner Heidi was great to work with and she had the house well stocked. The neighbors were very kind and we will definitely being going back in the future.

Although our stay was shorter than expected we loved every minute. The houseboat was easy to find. It was nicely maintained with all necessary amenities (and even a few extra nice surprises). We enjoyed waking up and walking out the front door to sit beside the river with coffee in hand. Walking out the front door to take a dive into the river. Eating dinner and watching the sunset. It was full of life and entertainment. Can't wait to take the kids next time.

The owner was easy to communicate with. The house was clean and welcoming. Sitting on the deck in the morning, drinking a cup of coffee and watching the baby ducks was wonderful. Little kayak down river was so much fun!!

Spending time on the Columbia was wonderful. Our host was so accommodating! She went above and beyond stocking her pantry. The fact that we could bring our boat was icing in the cake!

Perfect family spot for our summer get away. The home was well stocked with lots of unexpected extras. In the kitchen. Top quality cookware and spices. We loved our time on the water. Perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding! Would recommend and will definitely stay again.
