We have stayed here several times, and it never let's us down. I was afraid with new owners it would change, but it did not. I am happy to say the new owners picked up right where the others left off. Thank you James for keeping it the same. It is absolutely fantastic. We love it.

We had no issues finding parking at the bottom of the hill to hit the Gatlinburg strip. We spent much time on the porch enjoying the peaceful surroundings and mountain view. I cannot say enough about this chalet. If you’re looking for a place that’s close to everything but still is secluded then this is your chalet! While staying, one morning a momma bear and 3 cubs walked by, we were able to view them closely through the giant windows in the living room. The view is amazing with a view to downtown Gatlinburg and the mountains! The chalet is cozy and had everything we needed, it was decorated very nicely with a open floor plan and game room. Downtown Gatlinburg was not even a minute drive from our chalet while also being up in the mountains secluded. James, the host, was amazing and very attentive to make sure we checked in okay and had a good time. One of the best and most caring host we’ve encountered. This will definitely be our go to chalet from now on, if you are thinking about booking , do it!!!

The House was awesome - had everything we needed for our stay. The group loved the location to downtown.

The cabin was as pictured but even better in person. It was comfortable, well layed out, and had amazing views from almost every window. The location was perfect to enjoy the national park as well as main street, making the steep drive up worth it! We were able to experience the true mountain adventure with a sighting of a mama and bear cubs, too. James, our host, was friendly and helpful during our stay. He made sure we knew how to reach him if we needed anything during our stay and gave us hints of where to easily park at the bottom of his hill.

The property was beautiful. The house was very cozy, comfortable and clean. We felt right at home when we walked in. The only thing was that the main floor did not have a bathroom in the living area, it was in the master suite. Overall I would highly recommend this property and hope to return someday.

Great location, view, and modern furnishings.

Definitely recommend! The host James reached out on a couple occasions, he was very personable, and helpful. This place is even better in person than the pictures show. Perfect for a group with someone having limited mobility who can’t do more than a couple stairs, only one small step up from the driveway to the entrance. The 1st floor master bed/bath is directly off the end of kitchen towards the back of the cabin. Second large “gaming” room off the other end of kitchen towards the front, closest to the driveway. Two large bedrooms and bath on the 2nd floor. Spacious and comfortable also with a private deck which is the perfect spot for early risers to sit and sip their morning coffee while watching the sun come up or watch the bright summer moon come up over the mountains around 11 at night.

This house was fabulous! It was beautiful and had all the amenities of home. It has a beautiful view and It is nestled at the top of the strip! You can walk to all the shops if you like! James is wonderful to work with and he makes sure all your needs are met! The highlight of my trip was getting to view the mama bear with her 3 cubs several times throughout our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Living Color Chalet, great communication from the owners and we couldn’t have felt more welcome. Our family wanted to visit Dollywood which was conveniently located just under a 30 minute drive from the cabin. The view was amazing from the cabin, and the location was exactly what we were hoping to find in the Gatlinburg area. The kitchen was well stocked and all bedrooms were comfortable. We look forward to our next stay at Living Color as soon as we can get away again.

We had a wonderful stay at Living Colors. We really enjoyed being within walking distance of downtown and great access to the Smokey Mountain park! The chalet was very comfortable and James was awesome to work with.

Outstanding mountain cabin with privacy. Cabin is equipped with all the necessities and bonus extras like a covered porch, pool table and game console.

We have stayed in numerous cabins / chalets in the Gatlinburg area. This is by far our favorite! The location is perfect. You have amazing mountain views but also within easy walking distance of the Gatlinburg strip. It is the best of both worlds. The chalet was abundantly stocked with everything we needed. The host, James, was easy to get a hold of and had helpful tips and ideas for our stay Our family made memories here that will not be forgotten. We will definitely be back!

This is newer construction, nicely decorated, that has plenty of room - a house, not a log cabin with cheesy mountain decor. Photos all found to be accurate. While it is not totally secluded on multiple acres, there are not other structures adjacent so plenty of privacy. The views from the deck and living / dining area do overlook the town but you can easily see the mountains east of Gatlinburg. Before arriving I had some concern that a municipal water tank adjacent to the lot would detract from this view but found it to be at a lower elevation painted dark green and did not detract from the views. The street access is steep but nicely paved so not any problem. We could drive 3 minutes to the south end of town, park, and walk the roughly 1 mile of downtown Gatlinburg and avoid the often heavy traffic on Parkway (street). At peak times it can take 20 minute just to get through Gatlinburg. The "Smokies" are truly beautiful and with some planning the crowds are manageable. This house made our stay really enjoyable with the covered deck for plenty of outdoor time combined with the game room (& pool table) on the main level. Each bedroom was roomy (great for adults) and a comfort after a day of hiking and seeing what town has to offer. While the grill is only a small outdoor unit (charcoal), the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare any meal during our 3 day stay. Highest ratings to the owner who was easy to reach and very helpful.

We stayed at this cabin in the spring of 2023 over the kids’ spring break. There were five of us total. Cabin was great. Very spacious. Terrific views. Stocked kitchen. Hours of entertainment in the game room. We loved that the property was only a 5 minute walk to the main strip, yet feels private and secluded. Five stars.

Our stay was great. I don’t recommend walking to town and then back later at night with snow on the ground. Tough climb

We have stayed here many times and it has always been a very comfortable and relaxing stay. It is very convenient to town and the best restaurants and shops.

After having booked this property several weeks in advance as Christmas for our family instead of gifts, we arrive (after a 12 hour drive through a terrible snowstorm) to find the house had been double booked and another family was already there. We had no where to stay and Vrbo was absolutely ZERO help in rectifying the situation.

This property was absolutely the best rental we have stayed at. The location was perfect. The cabin was like being home away from home. The views of the night lights of downtown Gatlinburg and mountains were beautiful! Our family of 6 will definitely stay here again!

Home away from home. Beautiful, very clean, and quiet. Everything you need is there. Driveway is a bit tricky. Be sure to deadbolt all downstairs doors as bear did try to open door handle with it's mouth and tried to open the doors on one of our cars. Very exciting though, and a wonderful experience.

The home was beautifully decorated for the holidays! The house was clean. We had a visitor! Super cool experience seeing a bear walking around! Location is perfect for Gatlinburg!

This is the perfect house to stay in when visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It’s very nice with great furnishings, a well stocked kitchen and is very clean. It’s got everything you need and it’s located literally right at the entrance to the park. You simply can’t do better than this and the management is readily available if you need anything.. We’ll certainly stay here next time we visit the area.

We just completed our second stay in under a year. Every detail has been thought of in this warm and beautiful home. We didn’t want to leave!

Nice property full stocked. Beautiful interior design. Only issue was lots of stink bugs inside the house and the driveway was pretty steep to navigate. Overall love the house.
