This property was great. Our family of four really enjoyed the time we spent here. The individual room cooling units offered amazing comfort during the afternoon July heat. The property was clean, private, and well stocked with all the amenities you would expect. My wife has it on her radar as a place that we would happily stay again which speaks volumes. The windows and deck that look out towards Mt. Medaris are 🔥.

This house was the perfect location for our trip! Coffee shop and food walking distance and easy access to the highway. The house was clean, comfortable and the private view put the back windows was amazing! Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

I wish we could’ve stayed longer, the Mt. Medaris house was just lovely. Great location, absolutely gorgeous scenery out of the beautiful windows, lovely design of the space, I wouldn’t have changed a thing about our stay. Will most definitely be returning!

The Mt. Medaris guest house is a hidden gem in a hidden location. The property was the perfect size for just the 2 of us. I loved the deck and looking up at the mountain immediately behind the property. Prior to this visit, I have never been to New Castle and discovered it is an adorable little town. Mt. Medaris is an easy walk to downtown. Will definitely stay here again.

This property was perfect. It had all the amenities needed for a weekend or week long stay. Short walk to old town for restaurants. The deck was peaceful and quiet for morning breakfast or coffee and and evening drink.

My family (5 total) and I enjoyed the modern amenities and style of this guesthouse. The view from the tall windows was wonderful and having 2 bathrooms made for an easier morning prep time. It was a short drive to glenwood springs where we enjoyed shopping and relaxing in the Iron Mountain Hot Springs. If in the area, it’s a great place to stay and unwind.

Beautifully crafted, artistically decorated, and conveniently located to enjoy upvalley and downvalley activities. Very comfortable, clean and a nice secluded spot next to the mountain. Enjoyed coffee in the morning and grilling in the evening on the back patio. Thanks, we'll be back!

Good place to spend time with family. The view is great, the place is clean and entertainments are plenty. Kitchen is great with ample dining area. The host, Vance, is very nice and very responsive. Great place to stay. We will be back again if we come to this area.

We absolutely LOVED this property! It was perfect with the large windows, great deck and view, plus the stocked kitchen, comfy living space, large bedrooms and private bath... this was a wonderful location for our trip away with friends. Plus it's an easy drive to Glenwood and we discovered some great restaurants right there in New Castle. We will be back!

Great experience at this VRBO! The place was nice and clean for our arrival and Elyse communicated all the instructions for our arrival. The back mountain sight was beautiful and got to see plenty of deer!! Perfect spot if you’re doing activities in Glenwood Springs just 12 minutes away.

We had a wonderful stay! The heat was off when we arrived as it was about 20 degrees outside so it took some time to warm up, but it was nice & cozy within an hour or so. The home was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our short 2 night stay. Very private, as it faces the mountains. Loved that it was less than 15 minute drive to Glenwood Springs. Would definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved this home and did not want to leave when check out time came around. I can tell that the owners took their time to decorate the home and make it as comfortable as possible for their guests. The backyard mountain view was astounding, something we MN people are not used to. The neighborhood was very quiet and a good location. We loved our stay and will be booking again if we come back to Colorado!

This home is nestled just outside of the City of New Castle. The house is very clean and you can tell the owners take very good care of this home. It's location is convenient to Glenwood and just perfect. I hope to rent from them again when I want to get away. Perfect place for a mountain get away.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your place! We had a wonderful time and the views are stunning. The only suggestion that we would have is explain that it’s above the garage. Also maybe a little bit of blinds or curtains for some privacy in the living room would be nice.
This property was very clean, we had all of the linens and supplies that we could need for our trip. The kitchen was also nicely stocked with items to cook with. Everything was very comfortable clean and cozy! We really appreciated being able to stay with you! We will definitely try and be back in the future.

The first thing my wife said when we walked in was “It’s so cute!” This condo was perfect. Recently redone in a modern/open design. Beautiful mountain views from the kitchen and living room. Cozy and comfortable bedrooms. Excellent communication from the property-owners. Can’t wait to come back!

We were a group of two couples and loved this property. The setup is really well thought out and the design is beautiful with lots of wood and huge windows looking into nature. The house had everything we needed and was just a short drive to Glenwood Springs for when we wanted some springs time. Definitely recommend staying here!

Vance and Elyse were incredible hosts and their guest house was beautiful. The communication, cleanliness and magical views were all more than we could have asked for during our stay. Vance was particularly helpful recommending local trails and the proximity to downtown New Castle was a bonus. We have stayed many places during our travels but not a single one has been as cozy and welcoming as our two weeks at the Mt. Medaris Guest House.

We have been doing vacation rentals for close to twenty years. We have had a variety of experience. This one was one of our top stops. We came to climb in Rifle Canyon. The host said it was a beautiful drive between New Castle and the canyon and it was gorgeous. The host was very prompt in answering my questions. The place was clean, well appointed, nicely decorated and even had a little climber in one corner toward the ceiling. We are looking forward to this being our go to place for our visit next year. Thanks you.

The place is so cute! Really well stocked too! Thanks for having baggies and paper plates! We barbecued on the deck, enjoyed the stars and scope, slept great, and truly relaxed. Great place!!!
