This house was perfect for our weekend getaway from Jersey City! It’s so close to town and all the restaurants as well as the ferry to shelter island. Jane was always available and easy to communicate with! Highly recommend this place to stay!

we fully enjoyed this lovely home, just a walk from everything from fine restaurants and ice cream shops to the beach. the spacious home had not only a family room, dining area with a full set table and a game room( lots of scrabble will be played!) but also a perfect screened in back patio where we had our breakfasts. we
lover the bedrooms upstairs, each was very private. this was the perfect home to stay in for a visit to Greenport, and just steps from the train stop! we’ll be back! Jane was a
lovely just, offering tips and suggestions -and a little treat for us to enjoy.

Great location, very clean, comfortable accommodations. It was a pleasure communicating with Jane. We enjoyed our meals around the dining table, sitting on the front porch and playing scrabble.

Very cozy, clean house with plenty of places to relax. The house is within walking distance to shops, restaurants, the beach and the ferry. Our host Jane was wonderful. She was in contact with us before our trip, met us at the house when we arrived and answered all our questions.

The cottage in Pipes Cove was the perfect location to celebrate the retirement of a friend whose first love is being on the beach. The location of the property was exactly what the description noted with 3 great bedrooms and 2 baths for 4 women, and lots of neat spaces to gather. The screened-in porch was a sanctuary in the rain, the front porch was great for people watching and the den was a comfy conversation haven. The quaint seaport village with its great restaurants and boutiques is within a few blocks walking distance. Our host, Jane, could not be more helpful in planning our visit and personally greeted us when we arrived. Her kindness throughout the process was unmatched! We have all said we are coming back with spouses and other friends!

Our stay at the Captain's Cottage was excellent. Firstly, it is in a prime location for all of the activities in Greenport - only steps away from the main downtown area. Inside, it is charming and functional with wifi, space, and many other comfy, cozy amenities. Finally, our property manager Jane was so helpful with our stay. She reached out before our stay with proactive tips for traffic and check-in, and was available to answer any questions throughout our stay. Further, she even helped us when we had forgotten items in the cottage after leaving. While our visit was short, it was also certainly sweet and I will be happy to return the next time I'm visiting Greenport! Thanks Jane.

The location of this property is in walking distance to all the best things about Greenport. The history of the home and area only add to the charm. The host is most gracious and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Captain's Cottage. Relaxing on the porches, and playing games, especially scrabble, created lasting memories.

We wanted to squeeze in a family vacation between two weekend events nearby, and we chose the perfect spot! The cottage is right in the town of Greenport, so the location was wonderful for walking in for breakfast, the carousel and just general shopping. Jane met my brother at the cottage when he arrived early, showed us around, washed our towels mid-trip very quickly, and even left us an apple pie. Despite the stairs, it was a great spot for our 1.5 year old who thoroughly enjoyed the frequent walks, screened in porch, and children's toys already at the property. It can get a bit loud in the bedrooms at the front of the house at night since it is located right on Front Street but Jane provided earplugs and we used a white noise machine so it didn't disturb. Highly recommend this historical cottage for anyone traveling to Greenport - the host is the best I have experienced across all rentals!

We had a lovely stay at Jane's cottage. The location is really perfect for everything--just a few blocks from a small beach and playground, walkable to everything in town and very short drives out to other beaches and farms. Jane was a breeze to communicate with and met us at check-in to show us around. We would definitely stay here again if we were back in the neighborhood.

This was the perfect place for a weekend away in Greenport - well located, good amount of space, clean and comfortable. We loved our stay - you will too!

We really enjoyed the house and the location in Greenport. We enjoyed our coffee on the front porch and said hello to passers by. We walked to the Church for the wedding and walked to downtown restaurants throughout the weekend. Jane was great to work with and we really appreciated the cider donuts on our arrival!

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend to celebrate a friends wedding. Location could not have been more perfect. Just a couple blocks away from the Shelter Island ferry and a variety of restaurants and delis. A small beach about 10 minutes walking.
The host was spectacular, always responding to me in a timely fashion and helping out with any last minute requests.
If you're coming to visit, this is the only place I would stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay - the location was perfect and just a few short blocks from downtown Greenport. Jane was a thoughtful host and spent the time to share restaurant recommendations and even had fresh strawberries for us on arrival. The home was quaint and cared for, with comfy beds and well equipped bathrooms and other amenities. We had a wonderful time - thank you, Jane!
