The hotel was very nice and in good location with forest just outside our room where we saw monkeys toucans and scarlet macaw. The staff were excellent and helped us organise tours and transfers. The breakfast was good and served by staff who were always happy. The size of the room was really good and the little touches of coffee sugar and milk to make coffee was exceptional.

We were in room 9 which meant we had a restricted view of the forest due to the roof on the outside terrace. We chose this hotel so we could hopefully see the animals which we did but as not clear as other rooms. Also for us the furniture on the balcony was very uncomfortable we could see furniture on other balconies and it looked much better.

amazing stay, amazing helpful staff (and cutest dog), the pool was great and backed onto the jungle- we even saw lots of monkeys come in and bathe in the pool! our balcony looking over it all was very special too! highly recommend!

Beautiful, sophisticated boutique hotel that abuts lush vegetation. My favorite part was the extremely spacious room with beautiful floor to ceiling windows looking onto the jungle. Super spacious and well appointed--netflix, microwave, popcorn, coffee, huge shower with very hot water/good pressure. The pool area was also lovely and well landscaped. Staff was exceptional, efficient, and friendly. Breakfast was great too! Lots of opportunity to see the local wildlife on the grounds including Capuchin monkeys, Howler monkeys, and Macaws. But perhaps my favorite "local" wildlife was Yara the namesake pug on premise and a white cat that would greet me every night. This is a gem of a hotel with great value for the price and this was hands down the best place I stayed in during my entire trip!

Caleb at front desk made our stay very satisfied. He's quick to assist, always willing to help with a smile, and professional at the same time. Plaza Yara is lucky to have him as their employee. He was flexible and does his best to help us. From changing our room to a more desired one during check in, booking tickets, giving ideas for tours, giving up public transportation information, making sure our stay was comfortable, arranging a fabulous breakfast to take away when we checked out early.

It is a lovely property. Beautifully desiged an decorated. The room is very big, actually an apartment euipped with a kitchen, fridge and ccokware. The windows face the forest. There is a nice breakfast

The only thing that was somewhat disturbing is the proximity to the road and hence it was slightly noisy.

the rooms are gigantic. the hotel is clean and looks very nice and artsy. the staff is very friendly and helpful. the breakfast is ok.

If we could we would give 12 points. Spacious Room and Bath, comfortable beds and the friendliest and most helpful staff. Highlight was our balcony looking into the garden/minijungle and the morning swim in the pools with squirrelmonkeys jumping around.

Yara's facilities are unique and beautiful. We enjoyed the art gallery, the animals on property, and we really relied on the kindness and expertise of the staff. We stayed in three separate locations on our trip, but Yara was our favorite.

Great breakfast with view in the jungle/garden where I was able to see scarlet macaws, toucans, monkeys, turtles and a variety of birds....great location.....I have seen more nature there than in my whole travel in costa rica...literally, you don't have to go to manuel antonio park if you stay there, as you will see more animals....

Lovely staff and very spacious rooms! Even gave a goodbye present! Especially the guy in charge of breakfast was amazing and helpful, but the front desk staff was too.

Only thing we can think of is that breakfast could be a bit bigger, such as giving fruit next to the breakfast option chosen for!

This is a fantastic hotel! The staff go above and beyond to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. The breakfast is delicious. The pool area is an oasis. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I love it here!

Breakfast was good with a large selection of food. We also really appreciated the size of the room. The room view was nice facing the forest.

We could hear the road traffic in our room (number 7). It was especially loud during the day. It was acceptable during the night but I wasn't expecting this.

Friendly staff. Clean, large room. Lovely outlook from room over pool and jungle with lots of monkeys playing around.

Located right on the road which was often noisy, especially at night. Lack of catering, apart from breakfast, meant finding restaurants and bars beyond easy walking distance.
