the host could not meet us at the property, he sent a friend who was very nice. however she showed us around the apartment, showed us security on the doors, but not the windows, on the 3rd night of our stay' someone broke in and stole our phones ' wallets and watches ' the windows where closed but not locked' we phoned the host that day' and he came to meet us' and said it was unusual for this to happen in that area . we got a police report which we gave him and he said he would drop it back! we had to call him to get this back. i really feel he could have done more to help us, we had no way of contacting anybody, we could'nt even tell the time! the kids were very very scared and upset after this. they just wanted to go home. its a beautiful apartment and right beside the beech but i think there should be bars on the windows like the other buildings around it.its just not safe enough for a downstairs apartment in my view.

The apartment should be upgraded, pretty dirty in the bathroom, no place for shampoo in the shower and it’s really uncomfortable. Kitchenette pretty old and dirty. You should be ready that you need to buy all household chemicals for dishwasher, washing machine, also coffee, olive oil, etc. We third time in Estoril and in all previous apartment we can find all that you need for daily routine and even more

As it was on the ground floor it was a bit exposed when we sat out on the terrace.
