Bed spread, pillows, the position of the TV, broken blinds on windows, the smell of weed (marihuana) and musty smell in the room…bed spread smelled like it had not been washed in weeks.

There were no extra towels or pillows. Garbage was not emptied. No hangers or hooks to put clothes on. The outdoor stairs are in very poor shape.

We have stayed at this location numerous times up until 2018. Always was clean, the owner always met us there etc. We figured we’d go back. First thing we noticed when we arrived was lack of maintenance on the outside of the property. Decks unpainted, loose boards, railing on stairs was loose. Checked out the balcony on top floor was soft in spots, only one chair out there with no cushion. Room was ok but had dusty spots in cabinets etc every blind on the windows were broken. Spa controls very hard to use. On to the lobby, dust in cabinets etc very heavy, still has Christmas decorations adorning the downstairs. Very disappointing not what we were expecting from this location. Also when you go outside very heavy smell of marijuana. Very unsettling.

I liked the personal keurig in the room. It is great not having to check in or out and getting an access code instead. Bed was comfy.

Parking in the back is tight, which was expected so we parked in front.

Booking.com has asked me for a review of our stay. I own a bed and breakfast and I know how important reviews are and how a bad review can really damage your reputation. I won't give you a bad review online but I'd like to make a few suggestions. First it would have been nice to be greeted by the owner. We were there two nights and never saw you once. When we arrive the heat in our room was not on. It was about 20° outside and took about an hour to warm up the room. If you know a guest is coming, you should have the room warm. We were disappointed about the size of the room. The pictures were very deceptive. A chair would have been nice to have somewhere to sit. The TV remote did not work. I would pair your remote to the tv and get one working. The toilet was dirty under the rim. The heater is so loud and it was very hard to sleep. Was very disappointed there was no breakfast and it was on the booking description but not very prominent. There was no tea bags... how much could a few tea bags cost! There were no hangers. How are people supposed to hang up their clothes? I know that sounds like a lot but they are mostly easy fixes. We don't get away often running the B&B so it was disappointing to not enjoy our stay.

I liked the close proximity to town.

was fairly dark at night. parking is in back driveway with no marking identifying it as the location or address. toilet seat was cracked and painful to sit on. jets in spa tub did not work which was disappointing and part of the reason I chose this suite. I messaged staff day of check out and two days later still have no reply.
