Perfect location with beautiful beach! The food was very good and diverse. The employees were very nice, polite and available.
The main issue of the resort is the sunbeds reservation by the guests. Although there are lots of signs warning the guests about this procedure, this was not applied. So, there were lots of sun beads, covered with towels or stuff from other guests, not used during the most part of the day (or not at all). Those signs and warnings should be applied in fact.

The hotel mostly caters to families with kids. during our stay we barely saw anyone without (!) kids. If you have kids it’s probably a good place for you. The hotel has a nice own access to the beach and this is a huge advantage. Just a few steps down the stairs and you can swim in the sea. The location is also very good if you have an own car (!!): if you don’t have a car, you will need to get taxis to get anywhere as the hotel is pretty far away from nearest villages. The suites have a lot of space and nice big terraces. There’s a nice ice cream place on premises and a nice mini market where, to my surprise, the prices weren’t too high (actually some of teas they sell cost most in the town nearby).
The floors looked like they have never been vacuumed let alone washed. I think nobody cleaned the floors even before our arrival because when I moved the rug, there was a layer of dirt under it. We stayed for a week and the floors (obviously) got more and more dirty and the cleaner never bothered to do anything about it. So the dirty floors were a massive no, and the dirty sunbeds also. The sunbeds are looking worn out, beaten, and dirty and have stains one them.
The breakfast, for a Cretan/Greek standard, is not too good. It gives an impression at first like there’s so much but it’s mostly because the room is huge and the stuff is spaced out. But it’s mostly a very standard selection of things and it’s underwhelming. For example: there were only a few kinds of cheese there and only two (!) were Greek. It’s quite bizarre because there’s so much cheese in Greece and there’s so much to offer to the guests. There wasn’t much on account of meat or fish, except some slices of ham and something canned. Don’t get me wrong, the breakfast is still very decent and you won’t walk away hungry but compared to other places on Crete I’ve seen it’s not that impressive.
And the part about the kids: this place is really focusing on big families with kids, and so the pool is basically just a row of prams and the kids are owning the pool. I think that if you are not in this demographic you might want to be elsewhere.

I thought that our reservation included breakfast but apparently it didn't. Nevermind - breakfast for parents with two kids (below 12) is at a good price.
There's a good variety of food (both breakfast and dinner which we also had a few times) - I can't say that it was extremely tasty, but even the vegan in our family found something to eat and was happy. Lots of good fresh fruit too!
Two small things I suppose:
1. It would be nice to have more shade around and in the pools
2. The cleaning crew comes at odd hours. It was really hot during our vacation so we usually were in the room around noon and until the sun found another victim, but the cleaning crew would drop by at around 2pm which is an international nap time... :) we asked them to come later and they did, but it would be nice if they'd just come in the morning. (or at least have a dnd card to put on the room door)

Amazing staff beach and swimming pools. Great village for kids and families
Too many lights in the bedroom we can’t sleep in the dark

Big, well set out property. Private beach with water sports offered was a great bonus. Dinner buffet was a fabulous option when we wanted to stay at the resort.
Our room was very basic and didn’t reflect the standard of the rest of hotel. We booked a family room for 4 people.
The two beds for the kids were super small.

Wonderful localisation. Beautiful beach with a great view. We once went to a Voulisma beach (reportedly one of the most beautiful on the island), which was crowded, no changing stations and loud, and we stayed there for 10 minutes tops and decided to go back to "our" Candia beach to have a nice swim without being worried that our stuff would be stolen.
We booked a superior family apartment and for 3 people it was really spacious and comfortable. Maybe a bit outdated, but at the bathroom was renovated. The terrace was big enough to play ball with my daughter or do yoga in the morning. The staff was mannerly and helpful.
Two things - uncomfortable bed with hard pillows; and 2nd - the hotel has no policy regarding 'booking' sunbeds with a towels on the beach. Each time we got there, there were many sunbeds 'booked' this way and we ended up leaving our stuff on one of those risking a fight with someone else, as there was no sunbeds available; once I got to the beach at about 2 pm - since it was lunch time there were perhaps 10 people there and yet no available sunbeds! I finally found one in the full sun. That was very annoying.

The accessibility of the beach was great and the staff at the scuba program were very helpful. Check-in went very smoothly even though we arrived earlier than expected due to flight changes. All the staff were very helpful and kind during our whole stay. We would definitely come back but maybe later in the season.
The pools were very cold at the beginning of the season. Dinner began so late (18:45) that we ended up eating off site every night because our young kids weren't used to waiting until that late to eat.

The staff were all lovely, helpful and genuine. The grounds are beautiful and not crowded. There’s plenty of room to explore, beautiful grassed area by the pool. The hotel puts on kids shows some evenings which were really wonderful, the kids club staff are so lovely and do an amazing job.
The food at the restaurants wasn’t as good as cheaper places in other towns. the pool wasn’t heated so pretty cold. Some basic items in the rooms would have been appreciated like coffee, tea or oil. You had to pay extra for any drinks at the buffet dinner.

the space and layout and location of the hotel is fantastic. the staff are friendly and helpful and the food was good. overall we had a great week and would recommend
the sofa bed in the kitchen was horrendously uncomfortable which meant awful sleep for my partner all week. Overall it needs an update, the kitchen facilities of the room are so basic for a family to cook. The one site shop is overpriced and minimal, not helpful for families looking to cook and eat but assume that’s the idea! lastly the pools are great but the little baby pool is popular and needs to be a bigger and a safer area. getting into Agios Nikolaos isn’t bad but I think I’d stay somewhere with walking access to town next time.

The Serenity Suites are amazing and the sunbathing areas on the paved area below the suites was lovely.
90% of the guests were families with children under 5. Breakfast was crazy with crying babies continually. Not recommended for couples looking for peace and quiet. There is no way we would have eaten lunch or dinner in any of the restaurants due to the noise of so many children.

Lovely resort, clean, friendly and beautiful location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool beautifully clean (if cold!) and plenty of sun beds / beach chairs for everyone (although we visited in Oct rather than peak season). The restaurant food was excellent especially the evening and breakfast buffets.
We opted for room only with the intention of self catering some if the time. However the facilities for cooking were very poor (2 electric rings, only 3 sets of cutlery , 2 bowls for a family of 4, no cooking utensils apart from a ladle and a bread knife) . The shop had very very little stock and what it did have was vastly overpriced. Even inflatables for the pool were twice the price of local shops. If we had known this in a advance we would have made different choices. The restaurant food on site was very good but I suspect we paid more per meal than we would have if we opted for half board at the time of booking. We loved our holiday but spent a huge amount on food. The local supermarkets were also more expensive than those in larger places (Heraklion).

Cliff "beach". It looked as boutique hotel.
Hotel for families
Quite good drinks in pool bar
Amazingly friendly staff
Serenity Rooms are very nice. Still keep in mind they are highest quality of the hotel. Rest of the hotel is nice but not as nice as those rooms. Keep in mind there is small path in front of them and they have 2 levels (ground level have good shadow thanks to a terrace but people above you).
In general highly recommended especially with family.
Taxi (10-20Eur to nearby villages) always quite new Mercedes.
Quite crowded main beach. And people tend to "book" sunbeeds with towels
Food is good but nothing extraordinary.
Rooms are very clean in general but hotel is not doing advanced cleaning even when you stay for more than 1 week so with kids it would be great to have at least once more advanced cleaning.

the property is really good, you have your own privacy in case you need or you can stay at the common areas together with the other guests. Another point I like was the chance to order the food at the restaurant and eat at your own place. For the entire period of your stay you don’t need to move the car.
there was not one specific thing I don’t like, what I suggest is to increase the cleaning inside the apartment and the price per night it’s a bit high.

well served with everything perfectly fitted for a family with kids.
super clean and staff are very welcoming.
being outside the closest city Agios nicholaos you need always a car or a taxi for moving outside.
price are quiet expensive inside the resort for being in Greece .

Our apartment was large with everything we needed for our stay, very clean throughout. The hotel grounds are beautiful, pretty stone pathways lead through the fabulous gardens from the rooms down to the pool, restaurants and beach. The view from the pool bar is amazing!
