Could do with more staff it’s very busy and seems like they could be overrun,

We loved the whole ambience of the hotel. It was so clean and tidy. The smell was incredible everywhere and the staff were so kind and polite to us everywhere we went!
I think that there could of been a few more people doing table service near the pool as I think a lot of people would spend the money on it.

This place is amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful from start to finish. The facilities were incredible, from pools and entertainment to bars and excursions. Having the addition of the Unique Experience added another touch of luxury to this incredible stay. This allowed us perks like private sun loungers, free snacks and drinks during the day and free entry into the nearby thermal suite which was so cool!!
The biggest positive for us was food and dining. Both myself and my wife have food allergies. The hotel couldn't have been more helpful. They gave both of us a red card which we showed to staff before dining. Our own customised menus were presented to us and this meant we had peace of mind when eating. For this reason, we did half board for the entire stay.
We would also like to praise three waiters in particular (Pablo, Isla and Beatriz) who were so accommodating to our food allergies and were also just such friendly people.
We couldn't recommend this place highly enough!
Will definitely return!
Having to leave!

The decoration of the hotel
The room was full of cockroaches

Beautiful hotel
Staff couldn’t be more unhelpful if they tried.
The service is really poor, the staff do bare minimum and are not accommodating.
More normal tables are needed if people want to work on laptop.

one of the best resorts ever! everything about it is just fabulous… architecture and interiors are mind blowing. It’s not the typical resort one goes to and a lot attention has been paid to minor details
loved everything but just constructive criticism if you ask is to add full length mirror to the dressing area of bedrooms.

Swimming pools, staff, location, kids activities.
Rooms don't quite justify the 5 star rating.

Location very good, the architecture of the whole hotel is beautiful.
Drainage smells strong, the cutlery in the buffet restaurant wasn't washed and cleaned properly, coffee pots covered with stain.

Loved this hotel staff so so good especially the reception area so professional. I would recommend this hotel or should I say the Hotel Group to anyone interested in a fabulous hotel.
Small detail just a little more lighting around the lift area.

The facilities are excellent and well taken care off.
Buffet is always full with variety for everyone.
The night entertainment was good overall with some exceptions .
Pools are very clean
There are plenty of activities to do, plus the location is excellent, as there are also many things to do and shop just outside the hotel
You need to get up before breakfast to even have a chance to find a sunbed in the pools during peak season. Hotel guests reserve up to 5-6 by person by putting a towel, most of the times without physical presence for hours.
Cocroaches are a thing during night hours. I understand it is a Gran Canaria thing. When we reported to the reception that we found a huge one in our room (at the 4th floor) they didn't seem to be willing to do a lot, which is a shame as there are many people (incl my wife that are really terrified of those. That can ruin part of the experience as for example we had a huge terrace with great view, which after the cocroach visit,we didn't use

This is a great hotel that offers a unique experience. The rainforest theme, luxury, service all amazing.
Rooms have a luxury feel
Pools are beautiful - however the mungo pool get full early
For a buffet, the quality of the food was top notch. We ate in some other nice restaurants in Melonenas but the food at the Baobab was better. Different themes each day - i ate everything from amazing sushi, octopus, hake, striplion steam, gorgeous salads - all fresh and beautifully presented.
Most comfortable bed and pillows i ever experienced for a hotel
Every evening - our kids bed was bade (nice touch)
This is the best hotel in the canaries - only the Gran Melia in Tenerife comes close.
The pool (Mungo - I think its called) gets very busy very early)

Big hotel, plenty of space and room. Many pools and some nice children pools as well.
The food is really just mediocre. Nearly the same food all days, very little variation. And that’s a bit disappointing when the hotel is very expensive to stay in. Also, very surprised that you can’t get “all inclusive” but only “full board”, which we thought was “all inclusive”. That meant a extra cost for us which we didn’t expected. Booking.com needs to make this a lot more visible when booking this hotel.

The Hotel - the architecture of the hotel is phenomenal, making you feel like you are taking a holiday in nature. From the entrance, to the pool, to the garden and even the turtles tucked away in one of the hotel's wings - the ambience of the place is marvellous.
The Food - full board is fully sufficient for the stay. We appreciated the possibility of taking a cup of coffee with us to the pool after breakfast. For those who are squeamish about paying for every bottle of water there is a supermarket 5 min. outside of the hotel.
The Doctor - do not drink the tab water (rookie mistake). But if you do, there is a doctor on-site twice a day for an hour.
The Pools - there are three pools and all of them are family friendly. We preferred the pool that went around in a circle, since it allowed for calmer and quieter spots to enjoy the water.
The Room - absolutely well-sized. We had a room on the west-side of the property, facing the street (not the Main Street). This allowed us to keep the windows open for a long time in the morning and not needing the air-co that much. The beds can also be separated, which was really nice.
Internet - The wifi is spotty on the hotel grounds, which may be annoying for those who heavily rely on it. It was sufficient for us.
Pool Seats - The hotel has a policy to not reserve pool seats with a towel, but it appeared that nobody was keeping to this policy. Therefore most seats were taken by 9 am. We only saw them remove towels once, after the seats had been unoccupied for over an hour.
"Unique Guests" - there is an additional segregation of guests who are "unique guests". This was a little annoying as they had separate towels and pool seats etc.

we were a couple on our honeymoon, paid extra on arrival for a better room., they put us into a room with 2 single beds. told reception the following morning but still the second night the beds separated into 2 my husband actually fell in the middle of them. was a way over priced and the room was the same a the room before but with the pool however the pool had no sunlight on it at any point of the day so it was cold and very small, it says private pool but there is no privacy with rooms all around
