Charming apartment in an old, fully renovated building in central Berlin
Un superbe appartement ancien, lumineux et calme vous attend au cœur de Berlin ! Il se trouve au pied des jardins du Château de Charlottenburg (à 2 min à pied), très bien desservi (tramway à 50 m, aéroport de Tegel à 4 arrêts de bus, gare Bahnhof Zoo à 10 min, foire de Berlin à 10 min, stade de coupe du monde à 15 min) avec de vieilles lames de parquet en guise de sol. Dans le coin du salon il y a encore un vieux poêle en faïence (non utilisable) et la maison est dans un très bon état de propreté. La cuisine est entièrement équipée et tous les ustensiles sont comme neufs ou en très bon état. L'ameublement a été fait avec amour pour souligner le charme de l'appartement.
Destinations des excursions: Voici un choix de destinations : Potsdam (30 min en tramway), le Château de Charlottenburg (2 min à pied), le Musée Égyptien et la collection de Berggruen (10 min à pied) et le stade olympique (stade de coupe du monde, très proche en métro ou tramway).

Apartment was exactly as described, and everything worked well within. Extremely quiet place, which was much appreciated. The 80 steps to get to the door were not a surprise (the owner had advised us on booking) but still proved a challenge at times, especially when carrying luggage or groceries. Suffice it to say we both lost weight and gained cardio-pulmonary function from our trip!

Wir haben uns in dieser Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Sie liegt in einem ausgesprochen ruhigen Hinterhaus und trotzdem sehr verkehrsgünstig direkt gegenüber des S-Bahnhofs.
Einzig den festen Duschkopf hätten wir uns höher gewünscht - ansonsten alles prima!

Its a lovely and quiet apartment. I didnt hear any noise coming from the apartments or surrounding apartments the entire time! Its so close to the metro, you can be anywhere you want in no time. Its also on the ring line which means you can ride the metro tram around the main ring of the city in either direction. Theres a large Lidl grocery store nearby. Its walking distance to the Charlottenburg palace. And there are river cruises that leave from very nearby the apartment. We didnt use one but saw them when we were walking around. Its an ideal location as you can be downtown in 15 minutes by train/metro but are in a nice residential area that is safe quiet and comfortable. We cooked in several nights and the kitchen is ample for that. We were always in touch with the owner and he made perfect arrangements for someone to meet us, even past 10pm since our flight was late. We flew into Schoenfeld airport which is the furthest away I think. Try to fly into tegel as its super close to the apartment. We got in about 1030pm on a Monday night and did find a wonderful gyro/falafel place open but not much more so you can see its a nice residential area with good services but not 24/7 type of place..and Caution...its on the 4th floor with no lift so you get a good workout! Its the back building so as you enter through the main doors, its through the foyer of the first building, across a small courtyard and into the back building. They provided excellent instructions as well.
