Reception staff, Ludmila, Sarah, Beatrix and Barbara made us feel so welcomed - and being friendly and attentive every day of our stay. The hotel's welcoming gift in the room was a such a pleasant surprise - as was the delicious home made birthday cake!
Pleasant breakfast - friendly and service-minded staff, in particular Mayara. The hotel has a great roof terrace and a nice bar/lounge downstairs. The bartender Bruno also gave us the very best service.
The location of the hotel meant we could easily walk up to Castelo de Sao Jorge and down to Praca do Comercio ... and choose among traditional local restaurants in the hotel's neighborhood.
Room size was too small being categorised as superior. The room felt quite cramped since we spent 3 nights in the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. The reception staff did their best to try accommodate a change of rooms.

The location and breakfast are very good. Staff is friendly…
They are not even close to the promised 4 star. Maybe 3-, but definitely not more. The size of the room could be ok, but it is built in a way that there is no room for suitcase. No slippers available, so we had to run back to the city to buy some. It is not a 4 star hotel style.
