Dormy Inn Hon-Hachinohe

Some visitors complained about the parking charge. But I think the parking facility is very convenient. The hotel has a staff member there to provide help too. The room was well designed. The use of space is very clever. We love the location. The hotel also provides coupons for nearby restaurants.

The onsen is tiny. The water is not hot enough

The hotel was centrally located and a short walk from restaurants, bars, and the art museum. It was nice, new, and clean. My standard double room had recently been renovated, and it was spacious for a business hotel. There was a sliding door between the bed and the bathroom, which made it seem like there were two separate rooms. The staff were cordial, and there was free coffee in the lobby. The onsen was the nicest I have ever experienced at a business hotel. It had both indoor and outdoor baths and a sauna.

Even though the onsen is on the roof, when using the outdoor baths, noise can be heard from the street. When bathing late at night, that meant hearing drunken people talking loudly. This detracted from the serenity of the onsen.

Check in unpleasant. We arrived an hour early and were not allowed to register first. So at check in time, we had to wait in queue for a long time. What a waste of time. The staff was not cooperative. She could have just checked us in first. We would not have gone to the room as it was not ready.
