Hôtel Regyn's Montmartre

Great location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms.

I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting interaction I experienced at the front desk on September 22 at approximately 9:40 p.m. When I entered the hotel, I said hello, as I always do. I then asked the front desk employee for two spoons and two cups for my mother-in-law, as she does not speak English or French. Unlike all of your other front desk employees, he did not greet me or respond normally. Instead, he said to me, “Who are you?” I initially thought I may have misunderstood him, so I said, “Excuse me?” He then repeated, in what I perceived as a disrespectful and confrontational tone, “Who are YOU?” I waited for my wife and in-laws to arrive, which was less than a minute later. Once they were there, I asked him to repeat what he had said to me. His demeanor immediately changed, and he then asked, in a much softer and friendlier manner, “Are you a guest here?” I would like to mention that I came in the same way with the other front desk staff to ask for Ice and none of them responded to me that way. The difference in his behavior before and after seeing my wife and in-laws was extremely concerning to me. I am asking management to please review the security camera footage from the front desk around 9:40 p.m. and look closely at what happened, including the difference in his demeanor and treatment toward me before and after my family joined me. I paid for both of the rooms we are staying in, and I do not appreciate being made to feel as though I did not belong or being treated differently based on my appearance or race. I cannot know exactly what motivated his behavior, but the interaction left me feeling discriminated against, extremely uncomfortable, and unsafe. Whether his behavior was related to race, my appearance, or something else, I felt that I was being treated differently. The fact that he only got up to provide the spoons after seeing my European family with me made the situation feel even more disturbing.

great room for the price, love the "authentic" decoration, the furniture, the wallpaper, the windows. the staff were super friendly. it looks like the breakfast was also worthwhile but we decided to enjoy the sunny weather and have breakfast outdoors. location is amazing.

the shower was a little small, my husband is 197 cm / 6'4 and it was hard for him to get in :) otherwise again, great value for money so no major complaints here!

Excellent location in a really nice area. The property is very convenient for getting around, with the metro just a short walk away. It was easy to access the main attractions and city centre, Overall, a great location.

While the bed sheets were clean, unfortunately the bathroom was not up to the same standard. There was a noticeable sewer smell, and there was mould on the tiles and around the shower tray. The toilet seat also needs to be replaced. There was also a thick layer of dust on the bedside lamps, which looked like they had not been cleaned in a long time. The location was excellent, but the accommodation would definitely benefit from a more thorough clean and some general maintenance.
