Dreimäderlhaus - Das vegetarische Boutique Hotel

Lovely place and great location fabulous breakfast

We should have booked a room facing the lake.

We stayed with Dreimäderlhaus two nights and had a wonderful time. The room was very cute and homey. The bathroom has everything you need but it is tight, so only good for one person at a time unless someone is in the shower. The room was quiet and like many places in Germany, without air conditioning - we slept with the window adjar and with ear plugs. My spouse had a hard time with the heat (we stayed during a hot streak of 95+ degree days), but I slept wonderfully with the fan on. The hotel is beautifully located on a lake with the Alps in the background (mature trees block much of the view from the hotel itself, but going down to the water is a short walk). I swam in the lake and it was marvelous. It is a short drive to the castles and Fussen. The hotel also boasts of being part of a restorative sleep program, and turns off their WiFi at night - We thought this was nice as WiFi is known to be disruptive to good sleep. Breakfast was lovely - It is a vegetarian breakfast which could leave the meat lover wanting, but it was perfect to hold us over until lunch. The owners are lovely and run the hotel themselves.

Bathroom can be tight for two people, so we took turns. The hotel is without air conditioning, but if you do not mind the sound of occasional cars driving past, we slept easily with the window/door to the patio open.

Close to the famous King Ludwig castle Neuschwanstein.

The road right in front of the hotel can get busy and you need to keep your balcony door shut.
