Abba Euskalduna Hotel

The view!

The location by the river and the 20 mins walk to The Guggenheim Museum meant that everything was accessible. The beds were very comfortable and the restaurant El Mirador was pleasant overlooking the river. Food delicious with lovely, friendly staff in there. Prices reasonable. The WiFi worked well and the check-out time of 12.00 was a nice change from earlier times at other hotels. Breakfast was good, coffee was fresh and nice and the fresh orange machine delivered beautiful refreshing juice instantly. Our room, 129, looked over the river and was large and airy with decent a/c.

The lobby bar closed as the restaurant opened at 7.30 so if you wanted to drink you had to go to the restaurant which is a 1 minute walk outside of the hotel. This is probably because it’s late September and not on peak season. We decided to add an extra night to our stay but we weren’t given a favourable rate, having to go through booking.com again. Then we asked if they could give us a rate for an ABBA hotel in Gijon, again, that didn’t work very well. Hotels should be able to reward people with a loyalty friendly attitude.

It was clean with AC and the decoration is pleasant. The breakfast is good value for money

The lift is too slow. 😉 Not so much pet friendly with a lot of demands about their stay.
