Meliá Costa del Sol

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel! The location is excellent, right on the beach, with a lovely promenade full of restaurants, cafés and bars, so there are plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel also has its own beach bar, although sun loungers on the beach come at an additional cost. One of the highlights is the beautiful rooftop pool with stunning panoramic sea views. There is a bar, free sun loungers and Bali beds, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The hotel also offers a small but well-equipped gym and a spa with massage treatments. The lobby is spacious, with plenty of comfortable seating areas, making it a great spot for working remotely, having a meeting or simply relaxing. The food was really good, with a wide variety of options for both breakfast and dinner. Lunch is served as a three-course meal, with three options to choose from for each course: starter, main and dessert. Our room was quite spacious, with a lovely sea view and a seating area with chairs and a table, perfect for enjoying the view. The bathroom was equipped with toiletries, and housekeeping was provided daily. Beach/pool towels are available free of charge, with just a €1 fee if you want to exchange them for fresh ones. The location is also great for exploring the area. Within a 10-minute walk, you can reach a charming part of Torremolinos, full of little market stalls, narrow streets and lovely local atmosphere. The train station with connections to Málaga is nearby, and the airport is only a short journey away. There is also an outlet shopping centre within easy reach for anyone interested in some shopping. The only small downside was the lack of a drinking water dispenser, which would have been a nice addition. Overall, a fantastic place to stay, combining a beachfront location, beautiful views, great food and convenient access to local attractions. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!

The only thing I was disappointed with was the lack of a drinking water dispenser. In a country as hot as Spain, easy access to drinking water is particularly important. Having a water refill station at the hotel would have been much more convenient than having to buy and carry heavy packs of bottled water from the supermarket.

Absolutely wonderful location and setting.

Nothing to fault except would have liked the A/C to go lower.
