The Queensberry Hotel

This is an old but grand hotel with winding but short passages. Easy to get lost in. The lift worked! Upon entering the hotel, staff was very welcoming- explaining where the restaurant, the bar, the lower bar, and the garden was. The garden is beautiful! Our room was spacious and contained a full size couch. On the morning of our departure, staff called us a taxi and settled the bill in a timely fashion. Towels were amazingly fluffy. Bed were incredibly soft and the duvets were divine. Shower was also lovely with excellent water pressure! Love the shampoo! Be sure to try the lobster rolls & cabbage w/bacon!

I wish the young man who showed us our room would have turned the towel warmer on (or at least pointed it out) and it would have been useful to know how to use the heater.

A beautiful old building tastefully decorated. Extremely comfortable rooms and dining areas.

Great location, but most of the staff. From the time we walked into reception to when we left, we could not have asked for better service thank you so much.

I have truly nothing to complain about

For us this was a hotel that tried to be fancy, but couldn't fully live up to it. Way too expensive for parking (33£ for less than a day), We were told that it would have costed less if we have booked directly (24£), but how should we have known. The communication and service re. the parking alternative was bad and a little rude. Internet was bad. No breakfast included. A lot of noise from running water during the night.
