Royal Marine Hotel, by Highland Coast Hotels

Couldn’t be bothered going home so we stayed here on impulse and it was a lovely treat

I thought there was a swimming pool we could use, but they didn’t seem to be

Tout était super, je recommande vivement cet endroit !

Nice views from outside and the staff were nice.

I think it was overpriced compared to other hotels at similar prices. And the room was very small.

Public rooms were smartly decorated

Very overpriced with misleading description - no sea view or sounds as that’s a walk away with steep/uneven access. The expensive junior suite was right at the back through numerous and noisy fire doors, totally unsuitable for people with access limitations. Stained and scratched desk, flies in ceiling lights, many chips on paintwork, mould on shower seals. Standard double bed - not large. View of building works - with no warning or compensation. Food was OK but also very overpriced. Sea too far away to be seen or heard from hotel. Service charge applied even if you buy a drink from the bar and carry it yourself!
