Good location, walking distance between railway station and historic centre and airy modern public areas
Rooms on the small side and a bit quirky for a modern hotel

Liked the very comfortable kingsize bed very much! Firm yet soft at the same time. How do you do that?!
The fish and chips I had on my first evening were among the best I've ever had, Truly.
The temperature control on the bedroom wall was hard to understand. Very few buttons, but it wasn't clear whether we'd increased the temperature as we intended. On our first evening we were too cold. It was better after that though.

Staff were amazing and very helpful! The bathroom was well equipped with plenty of rails and shower seat.
The room was very small for an accessible room (no space to turn the wheelchair around in the room). And the bed was very hard
