Ada Hotel Istanbul

The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a variety of food to choose from for breakfast, the view of the Mosque and the sea was perfect. It is in an ideal location to visit the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia (5 minutes walk).

Clean apartments with beautiful views. Kitchen equipped with everything pots, plates, utensils, cups. Iron and iron board. Toilet paper, trash bags, a/c , adequate hangers in wardrobes. Enough clean towels. Cleaning was done whenever requested. Supportive reception staff. Also the breakfast was delicious and the two ladies serving were really sweet and nice.

The apartments in a different location than the hotel down a steep road. We had to walk up every morning to the hotel to have breakfast. It was so inconvenient. Also For two days there was no electricity. So it was extremely hot. The second day they decided to turn on the generator but we were only able to switch the lights on but not the a/c. We requested for fans and were provided. We were not offered any compensation for this inconvenience. So for these two days there were no lifts and we had to use the stairs with two kids and a person with knee problem. Also had some medications that needed refrigeration and we had to buy ice.

It was really close to hagia sophia and blue mosque, and the area was peaceful and quiet too. The hosts were all very lovely people and the view from breakfast area was amazing!!

Only one small thing, if you're late for breakfast it usually finishes quickly and you get cold and leftover food which was the only downside in this hotel. But overall the quality of the breakfast was great!

- The hotel is in a great neighbourhood: close to the main sights, sea, and plenty of good and affordable restaurants and shops. - The view from the breakfast room and our bedroom was fantastic - The reception and breakfast staff were friendly and polite - The AC is very quiet, we could keep it on all night without being disturbed by its noise

- The drain in our bathtub was clogged and I had to ask 3 times before it was cleaned - The interior decor and equipment were worn-out and did not look well maintained - Some towels and blankets had stains on them - Wi-fi was a bit patchy for a couple of days - The breakfast was mediocre with terrible coffee - The soundproofing is very poor, many times I was woken up by neighbours' alarm
