All of the Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
A shelf over the sink in the bathroom would have been helpful.

The location was close to the station and within walking distance of downtown for food, about a 20-minute walk to Durham Castle and Cathedral. The property is nestled at the foot of a hill, so the ambiance was quite nice. The staff were extremely helpful when I encountered a bug problem—they did their best to improve my situation, even though no other rooms were available.
My room faced an outdoor dining area, and since the bar is open till around 11 pm, it could get a bit noisy at night. One thing to note — I made the mistake of going out to explore with my windows and lights left on, so by the time I got back, my room was filled with gnats and other flying insects.
