Rovezzano B&B

The property was a very peaceful oasis set in beautiful grounds, with long tree-lined driveway leading to the house, 30 mins by bus into Santa Maria Novella.

The room was pleasant with beautiful outlook but very tight. The kettle had dangerous exposed wires but was immediately replaced when pointed out.

Beautiful large house set in its own grounds with lovely quiet swimming pool area. Furnished with very old traditional furniture with breakfast being served in a large country kitchen prepared by a lovely lady who must run the property

Although it did say this property was a little way from the centre I didn’t expect it to be a far as it was. There is a bus stop close to the property that takes you into the centre of Florence in about 30 mins

Beauty property!

It was a bit far on the edge of town which made it a little challenging finding a taxi sometimes.

The buffet-style breakfast was wonderful, featuring fresh, delicious pastries, and we loved the opportunity to have breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view. The building itself has a charming aroma, reminiscent of a museum. As for the toiletries, shampoo, shower gel, soap, and body lotion were provided, and they smelled absolutely amazing too!

There were no slippers provided, which was uncomfortable given the stone floors. Also, mosquitoes and small bugs kept flying in through the bathroom window, which doesn't have a mosquito net. There was a plug-in mosquito repellent provided, but it wasn't working. As a result, we got bitten by mosquitoes for two nights. Keep in mind that there is a 10-15 minute walk from the main gates to the hotel itself. This wasn't an issue for us, but it might be challenging for elderly guests. Lastly, we ordered food to our room because we returned late from an excursion, but the trash from it was never emptied, even though there is daily room cleaning. Because of this, it left an unpleasant smell in the room.
