My Parents-in-law came to visit & stayed 3 nights at The Inn on the Lake. I went with them to get them checked in, the room was lovely, they said it was the nicest room they had stayed in. Nicky was always there at breakfast, ensuring they had everything they wanted to eat & sitting them next to the fire as it had turned cold. They also said the beds were beautifully comfortable, so they slept really well. Amazing !! Thank you so much xx

Nice vibe. Excellent food. Rooms are comfortable. Beds and pillows were lovely. Bodywash and plenty of towels. Had iron, board, hairdryer all tye tea and coffee etc! Really good value for money
Some staff seemed a bit stressed so weren’t very welcoming on check in, behind the bar and serving food……not sure if they are over worked maybe?!
Not all of them. One guy was super attentive and polite. Didn’t ruin our stay but the only thing I could mention that was negative.
Floorboards are super creaky so was woken up but a neighbor at 3am and we had to be up at 6 so needed to be very careful walking about as to not wake other guests up.

Evening dinner food was very nice.
Staff were very helpful in the main - especially with the considerable difficulty in accessing the bedroom.
Room was dark and dingy, not at all inviting.
We appreciate it is an old building but you should make guests aware of the tortuous twists, turns and steps involved in reaching certain bedrooms so we could have asked for an alternative.
Breakfast system of choices rather disappointing.
