The staff were extremely helpful when I had to request that they help me locate my passport. An issue had arisen where I had a need to locate the passport at a previous hotel in Tokyo, which was causing me some stress. The staff immediately understood my problem, and called the hotel in order to make inquiries on my behalf. In the end I recovered my passport and proceeded to enjoy my stay in Kyoto.
I could have stayed longer but I was only in town for one night, the check in was quick and easy and the staff were able to understand my spoken English, and were lovely to deal with.

Peaceful and restful retreat, still in the heart of Kyoto.
Only criticism is that it doesn’t have spa facilities but I knew this when booking so absolutely fine !

The staff, the space, the food, everything! Loved it all and would stay again immediately.
Nothing- everything was great!

Amazing location and staff. Close to so many restaurants and sites. The rooms had everything you could imagine needing from face wash to chargers and snacks!
Nothing.
