Hotel Middle Path & Spa

We absolutely loved our stay at The Middle Path Hotel and can completely understand why so many people come here and never want to leave the premises! What really makes this place special is the staff. They are genuinely some of the friendliest and most helpful people you could wish to meet. They seem to make it their mission to find something they can do for you, always with a smile. What’s lovely is seeing them laughing and joking together when they think guests aren’t looking! They genuinely seem happy to work here, and that warmth shines through in everything they do. From the friendly manager to the welcoming reception team, everyone makes you feel at home. The restaurant deserves a special mention. The food is absolutely fantastic — delicious, beautifully varied, great quality and incredible value for money. The hotel has its own farm and uses its own produce, which makes the whole experience even more special. Breakfast is plentiful, with a huge buffet selection to set you up for the day. The grounds are beautiful, too. There’s a lovely sun terrace, a small pool, and lush green plants and gardens that create a peaceful little oasis away from the bustle of Lakeside. We even had the sun terrace all to ourselves! It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. There’s also a fantastic spa attached to the hotel, which is perfect after a long trek. I enjoyed two massages during our stay and would happily have had more! The well-equipped gym was another big bonus, and we made use of it every morning. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a walk-in shower, and it was cleaned daily with two fresh bottles of water provided each day. Everything was well looked after, making it easy to feel settled and relaxed. They even transferred us to the airport free of charge, what a service!

Bed is uncomfortable - very firm. The hotel had issues with short circuiting which flickered lights in our room and made wall sockets smoke and pop. Shower has terrible pressure

I booked in for a week and stayed almost three. Everything was excellent - room, breakfast, location and quiet, peaceful atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the roof terrace. The manager and staff were exceptional.
