SamaLama Villas was the perfect place to stay on Gili Air. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The entire place was extremely well looked after and clean. We loved having our own private villa and pool to retreat to after a day of wandering and snorkelling. The northern part of the island is much quieter than the south-east, which is exactly why we loved the position of SamaLama. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the northern beaches and a 10/15 minute walk to the eastern beaches to go snorkelling with turtles. A 10 minute walk to get to the western beaches for sunset drinks. And a good 30 minute walk to get to the busy southern end of Gili Air. There are so many yummy restaurants, bars and warungs close by to choose from.
A massive thank you to Mike for going above and beyond, helping us with any questions, organising tours and sorting out our broken safe so we could get to the harbour in time for our ferry. We will be back! It was the perfect stay on the most amazing island. Highly recommend SamaLama Villas.

What a fantastic and memorable stay. Everything was perfect, the reception we received from the staff was amazing and they could not have been more helpful, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are amazing, very comfortably appointed and really comfortable. The outdoor space is fabulous, especially the wonderful private pool. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and we will certainly be returning.

We loved having our own beautiful space to relax in and being able to jump into our own pool whenever we liked. The villa was lovely and Bull and the team were really kind; they got us bikes so we could ride around the island.
The only small thing for light sleepers to keep in mind is the early morning call to prayer from the nearby mosque at sunrise. It's out of the villas control and a beautiful cultural experience, but if you like to sleep in, just pack some earplugs and you’ll be fine.

A beautiful sanctuary for a stay in Gili Air. Lovely staff and easy communication via whatsapp and in the reception. Always super clean, and the cutest towel arrangements we have ever seen! 😄 The breakfast was brought to our villa and was always fresh and delicious. Bikes were also arranged to us super easy. So much space both inside and out, a place exactly as shown in the pictures. Everything is nearby (tiny islans garantees that). We loved our stay. ❤️
