Not really a complaint but do note they will ask you for $S300 security deposit in cash on arrival and it did not mention that when we booked. I explained I had just got off a plane and even if I had that much local cash if I did not get it back until I checked out to go to airport I could not use it. I offered my credit card but was told it must be cash so I offered the equivalent in Thai baht (my local currency). That was declined but to be fair they just said, ok no security deposit but when I checked out if anything was broken I would have to pay for it before leaving

The WiFi especially in the rooms is terrible. I have stayed here several times and I love the staff, the location, the facilities but the situation with the WiFi is shockingly bad. The weird thing is it only affects laptops. If you are in the room your phone is ok. Sometimes you see a group of people sat at the table by reception and facing the pool because sometimes the WiFi works there on your laptop. I do a lot of work on the move and really cannot work from my phone. That is why overall I gave 8/10 instead of 10/10. I really hope someone reads this and does something about it as it is infuriating. It is a shamme because on everything else the staff, facilities, cleanliness and location is 10/10. I have spoke to several guests and they all said the same so I was sort of happy that it wasn't just me or a problem affecting just my laptop.

We were pleasantly surprised. The oxley is in a great location, beds are very comfortable, rooms are clean and modern. We stayed in a studio room and again we were pleasantly surprised with how spacious it was. Excellent value for money. We highly recommend the oxley and will be staying here again when we return to Singapore.

Good management staff, location, lobby, value for money. The apartments are spacious, so this could actually be a very good place for families travelling with children. However, if you value peace and quiet, I would recommend choosing different accommodation. There is also a lovely garden and walking area on the roof. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to simply sit and enjoy it. Even adding a couple of chairs would make a big difference. The lobby downstairs is beautiful and impressive — honestly, the lobby alone looks like it belongs to a four-star hotel. Unfortunately, the rest of the property is much less impressive.

The biggest problem with this hotel is the complete lack of soundproofing. You can hear practically everything happening around you as if it were happening inside your own room. The entrance doors in particular provide almost no protection from hallway noise. If you are unlucky enough to have children or a large family staying next door, you may simply not be able to sleep. Our first three days were absolutely terrible because of constant shouting and noise coming from the neighbouring room. We are very grateful to the management for taking our complaint seriously and moving us to another part of the building. The managers were pleasant, responsible and genuinely helpful. The rooms are in need of renovation, but in my opinion the first and most important improvement should be replacing the entrance doors with properly insulated ones. This alone would significantly improve the experience. The swimming pool is enough size to swim, but it needs to be cleaned properly and it's not about leaves or other debris that may naturally fall into the pool from the surrounding trees. The problem was the dirt resulting from the pool being used by guests — sand, hair, plasters, and similar things. This is something that should be cleaned regularly. A suggestion for management: consider changing the logic of room allocation — for example, placing large families in one section of the building and other guests in another. Alternatively, the property could position itself more clearly as family-oriented apartments. This could help avoid mismatched expectations between guests. If you plan to spend most of your trip out in the city and only come back to the hotel to sleep, the noise may not bother you as much. In our case, we spend quite a lot of time at the hotel, so the constant noise made it very difficult to actually relax and enjoy our stay.
