Great location with lots of restaurant options, very nice staff, reasonable good WiFi, quiet in the room despite being over a bar.

Liked the location, unique ambience, the very friendly staff, good beds.
The staff was accommodating in various ways.
We had to wait a bit for our room to be ready, but the bartender was attentive.

Smashing location, close to the port, shops, restaurants and other bars.
Aircon would be good, but a decent fan was provided.

We liked being above the pub and next door to several restaurants on a pedestrian-only street. Also a short walk to the ferry to the Isle of Wight.
The room was very warm (no air conditioning) and the toilet was tricky to operate. Also there were two flights of steep, narrow stairs up to the room, which we were aware of but didn’t like. The pub staff was extremely helpful with helping us carry our baggage up the stairs, though.
